She was born December 23,1962, to the late Edgar Miller and Esther McKay. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Miller; and her step dad Willie "POP" McKay. Cathy is survived by a niece; nephew; aunts; uncles; cousins; her fur babies; and a very special God Mom and friend, Diane Williams. No services are scheduled at this time. We are sad to announce that Grace A. Mackey, 56, of Midland, North Carolina, passed away on September 2nd, 2023. Grace was born in Plattsburgh, New York on April 9, 1967 to the late Edwin L. Mackey and Beatrice A. Fassett. Along with her parents, Grace is preceded in death by her sisters Cheryl Gagnier and Simone Eaton, Brother Edwin Mackey Jr. niece Katy Llewellyn, nephew Raymond Provost, and her life partner Tony Clark, as well as several beloved aunts and uncles. She is survived by her son Carl Roberts Jr. and his partner Jean Rivers, daughter Kyleigh Roberts and her partner Micah Traynham, her grandchildren and lights of her life, Kaelyn Roberts, Miles Traynham, and Bayleigh Mesec. Her siblings Michael and Theresa Mccauslin, Velma Bellarosa, Susan Provost, and Alyce and Michael Provost as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Grace prided herself on being a great mother, and Nana. Her children and grandchildren brought great joy and pride to her life. She loved gardening, wolves and fictional crime television. Services will be private with only close family members present. She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all that knew her.Show more

Mr. Jeffrey (Jeff) Lane Inscore, age 66, of Midland, NC passed away at Atrium Health Stanly Hospital in Albemarle, NC on February 3, 2023. Mr. Inscore was born in Surry County, October 25, 1956, the son of the late Clyde and Lettie Reynolds Inscore. He was a graduate of East Surry High School and Surry Community College and was retired from Phillip Morris USA. Mr. Inscore was a member of First Baptist Church in Locust, NC. Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Debra Wood Inscore; a daughter and son-in-law, Brittany and Paul Anderson; a son, Justin Inscore; grandchildren, Lauren Anderson and Allison Anderson; sister, Rhonda Slayton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Rick Inscore, Scott and Sharon Inscore, Pamela Harris Inscore ; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Tycho and Pansy Wood; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Tycho Jr. and Marie Wood, and Johnny and Bobbie Wood; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Darrell Inscore and brother-in-law, Robert Slayton. A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 17, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Skyline Memory Gardens with Rev. Robert McCreary officiating. No visitation will be held at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Special Olympics Cabarrus County 7321 Raging Ridge Road, Harrisburg, NC 28075, or to Special Olympics Stanly County, E. E.
