Savannah Catherine "Kitty" Ricks, age 71 passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at Memorial Health University Medical Center. She was born in Reidsville on August 2, 1950 to Charlie and Marie Verdelle Rush. Kitty had lived in Savannah for most of her life and was of the Baptist faith. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing bingo, growing tomatoes, cooking and spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents and her two brothers, Walter Rush and Mike Rush. She is survived by her husband, Gary Ricks of Savannah; children, Walter (Dawn) Rush of Daisy, Mark (Heather Folsom) Rush of Glennville and Danny (Leah) Alexander of Savannah; siblings, Molly Torrence of Savannah, Raleigh Rush, David (Sibby) Rush of Savannah, Sherry Hampton of Claxton and Elaine Rush of Claxton; grandchildren, Walt (Taylor) Rush, Hunter (Harley) Rush, Mallori Rush, Bryson Rush and Buckley Rush; great-grandchildren, Caroline Rush and Brooklyn Rush; special nephew, Michael Ricks; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Reverend Justin Gordon officiating. Glennville Funeral Home is serving the Ricks family.
