"Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 29, 2023 in Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers - Bertrand for Catherine Jean DeValcourt, 73, who passed away on April 20, 2023. Catherine, a resident of Lafayette, was the daughter of the late Jean Walton Moser and the former Emma Elizabeth Cox. Catherine has been a resident of the Acadiana area since 1968. She married Bill in 1971 and started their family. Catherine enjoyed reading and was a world traveler. She is survived by her husband, Bill DeValcourt; daughter, Dawn Knight and husband, Denny; son, Dane DeValcourt; grandchildren, Kennadi and Kiptyn Knight, Brooke and Grace DeValcourt; two sisters, Tracy Wilson and Deborah Burleigh; nieces, Kristie, Stacy, Jean, and Jack, Joshua, Jonathan Burleigh, and Elizabeth Jean Wilson. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brother in laws, Larry Wilson and Raymond Burleigh. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home - Bertrand on Saturday, April 29, 2023 from 10:00 AM until time of service.
