Cassie Davis Obituary

Mrs. Cassie Lashae Davis, age 39, of Rome, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2023. Cassie was born in Rome, Georgia on March 31, 1984, daughter of Douglas William Walters, Sr. and Cathie Shinall Walters. She was preceded in death by a brother, Chris Fortenberry. Cassie owned and operated I Shine cleaning services and also worked for Neaton's of Rome. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Rome. Cassie's greatest joy in life was time spent with her children and she was always there for their sporting events. Survivors include her husband, Jackson Lee Davis; four children, Kaleb Buck, Christopher Berrong, Emalee Davis, and Karli Davis; three grandchildren she was raising, Khloe Woodard, Eli Davis, and Ruby Davis; three stepchildren, Cody Davis, Amanda Davis, and Dustin Davis; her parents, Douglas & Cathie Walters; five siblings, Jessica Mobbs, Douglas William Walters, Jr. (Lynda), Tracey Fortenberry, Stacey Fortenberry, and Daniel Fortenberry (Angela), several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at 2pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, with the Rev. Bobby Champion and the Rev. Scott Lambert officiating. Interment will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Tuesday from 5 until 7pm. Pallbearers are asked to assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Wednesday at 1:30pm and include Active: Matt Fortenberry, Cody Fortenberry, Blake Allmon, Lee Studdard, Koby Timms, and Ryan Crabtree. Honorary: Douglas Walters, Jr. , Stacey Fortenberry, Tracey Fortenberry, and Daniel Fortenberry. Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, has charge of the arrangements.
