"Case Michael \u0026quot;KC\u0026quot; Carrick, age 33, passed away unexpectedly on April 16, 2023 at his home in St. Augustine, FL. KC was born on April 7, 1990 in Jacksonville, FL to parents Kelly and Leigh (Fox) Carrick. KC grew up in Jacksonville and moved to St. Augustine at age 10. He attended Southside Estates Elementary School and Highlands Middle School. In St. Augustine KC attended St. Augustine High School where he was on the school\u0027s weightlifting team and played for the Yellow Jackets Football Team. He left high school to pursue his passion of becoming an auto mechanic. He worked for several shops but got his training as an ASE mechanic at Firestone Complete Auto Care. He was very skilled at his job and had earned many certifications. Most recently, KC was working as a heavy equipment mechanic for Sun Belt Rentals. If it would crank up and go, KC would drive it or ride it. He loved everything from mud bogging to drag racing. KC had lots of friends and he loved to hang out and party. He was widely known as the \u0026quot;giver of nicknames\u0026quot; If you were his friend you probably had one. KC will be missed by his family and friends. KC is survived by his son and his son\u0027s mom, Chase Carrick and Katie Jervey of St. Augustine, FL; his father, Kelly Carrick (Angela) of St. Augustine; his mother, Leigh Cole of Jacksonville; brother, Cody Carrick (Elena) of St. Augustine; paternal grandparents, Melvin \u0026quot;Mel\u0026quot; and Carolyn Carrick of Jacksonville, FL. , maternal grandmother, Suzanne Furlough of Joelton, Tennessee; sister, Nina \u0026amp; Ashley, and a brother Rudy. A celebration of KC\u0027s life will be held at 3pm on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at St. Johns Family Funeral Home.
