Carolyn Kay Terry "Shipp", age 75 of Coldspring, Texas, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2019. She was born June 28, 1943 in Houston, Texas to parents George Hardy Jones and Loyce D. Hopkins Jones who preceded her in death along with her son, Jason Dewitt Terry; and brothers, John Jones and Joe Jones. Carolyn loved to play piano and gave lessons as well. She enjoyed singing and over the years was a member of several Gospel groups. She worked hard all her life and was a great mother who raised four boys. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed cooking. Survivors include her husband, Charlie Shipp; sons, Joshua Terry, Jack Terry and James Sandel; step-children, Charlie Shipp, II, Elizabeth Fletcher, Kimberly Kinn, and Peyton Shipp; numerous grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
