Carolyn Jean Rex, age 84, of Fulton, Missouri passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2023. A visitation for Carolyn will be held Saturday, September 16, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Hopewell Baptist Church, New Bloomfield, MO. A funeral service will occur Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 12:00 PM, New Bloomfield, MO. A burial will occur Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Hopewell Cemetery, New Bloomfield, MO. Doris Fay Kamp Rutherford, 70, of Fulton, Missouri passed away peacefully at her home onOctober 20, 2023, surrounded by family. Doris was born April 13, 1953, in Columbia, Missouri to the late Robert Thurston Level and Mary Lee Level. She married Billy Arnett Kamp in 1973 and resided in Moberly, Mo until Billy passed away in 1999. She then married Donald Rutherford in 2005, and he survives her passing. Doris attended Hickman High School where she was a member of the National Honor Society, graduating in 1971. She was employed in numerous positions throughout her career including the University of Missouri Police Department and the Fulton Police Department. She was passionate about many things in her life and her smile and laughter spread joy and happiness to all those around her. She enjoyed dancing, traveling, and spending time with her family and grandchildren to which she was especially devoted. Those left to cherish her memory are; sons, Robert Kamp of Prairie Village, Ks, Billy Ryan Kamp (Angel) of Fulton, Mo, and Donnie Rutherford (Silvia) of Waynesville, Mo; sister, Betty Level (Bob Juhlin) of Columbia, Mo; grandchildren, Allison, Andrew, Emily, Onyx, Karai, Arnett, Jordan, Tristdon, Chelsea, Erica, and Megan; great grandchildren, Nolan, Nevaeh, Ahniezia, Juliet, Jaedhyn, Tyhler, Skylar, Brooklyn, Abhel, Amelia, and Braydon. Along with her father, Doris was preceded in death by her daughter Tracie (Kamp) Kribbs. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a. m. Friday, October 27, 2023 at Maupin Funeral Home with interment at Kendall Mt Olive Cemetery in Shelbina, Missouri. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 to 7:00 p. m. on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at the funeral home. George Wendell Morrison, 88, of Fulton, Mo, passed away on October 20, 2023 at his home. He was born September 19, 1935 in Chilhowee, Mo to Alva and Zura Belle (Rodgers) Morrison at the family farm. George was united in marriage to Angela (Moser) Morrison on August 13, 1983, and she survives his passing. In his youth, George was a Cub Scout and 4-H Club member. He was a fast pitch softball pitcher in high school and for the 4-H Club during the summers. He pitched in college for his fraternity Phi Sigma Epsilon intermural softball team. While in Korea he pitched for his Personnel Office and later in Fulton for a State Hospital Employee Team. George graduated from Chilhowee High School in 1953 and Central State College (now University of Central Missouri) in 1957 with a BS Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on merchandising and retailing. While in college he was a member of Phi Sigma Epsilon Fraternity (now Phi Sigma Alpha). After College, he was hired by Mattingly Stores, Inc. of Lexington, Mo as an Assistant Manager. In August of 1958, he was drafted into the Army. After basic training, where he was trained as a Personnel Specialist, he was sent to Fort Lewis Washington and later to Seoul, Korea. In 1960, he was discharged from active duty and joined the Army Reserve Unit in Columbia, Mo. After returning from the Army, George worked for Mattingly's for 25 years. He then worked for Prudential and Reliable Insurance for 13 years. George was also a member of Fulton Jaycees and the Kiwanis Club for 47 years. Those left to cherish his memory are sons, George David Morrison (Sarah), and Richard Keith Morrison; sister, Doris Ridgeway (Ron); grandson, George Anthony Morrison; niece, Tansy Whaley (Jay); nephew, Brian Ridgway (Kristi); great nieces, Madeline, Kate, and Addison; cousin, JoAnn Walters. Private graveside services will be held at a later date. Kathryn "Kathy" Louise Hamilton, 82, of Fulton, Mo passed away at her home surrounded by family. She was born in Wainwright, Mo, on February 13, 1941, to the late Otto Higgins and the late Bertha (Maier) Higgins. Kathryn was united in marriage to Lawrence Hamilton on February 4, 1961. He preceded her in death on June 16, 2017. Kathy was a member of Unity Baptist Church of Fulton, Mo. During high school, she was the recipient of the Betty Crocker Homemaker of Tomorrow Award. She loved hosting and celebrating holidays with her family. Cooking and vacationing with her family at the Lake of the Ozarks on holiday weekends was a special time for her. Relaxing and watching the boats on the water brought her joy. Kathy was a member of a close-knit group of women retirees from the Mizzou Athletic Department called the "Golden Girls. " She enjoyed playing cards with friends from her neighborhood. She was known for her witty sayings and even wrote her memoir titled "Kathyisms. "Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Earl Kenji (Tia) Hamilton of Stafford, Va, and Peter Stewart Hinz, Reston VA; daughters, Christine Groff and Vicki (Mike) Dennison of Columbia, and Lori (Mark) Croy, and Susan Hamilton of Fulton; brothers, Kenneth (Terry) Higgins of Fulton, Mo, and Roger (Linda) Higgins of New Bloomfield, Mo; sister Patsy Higgins of Fulton, Mo, twenty grandchildren, and thirty-six great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Kathy was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Higgins and his wife Wilma; sisters, Betty Martin and husband Ray, Carol Baker and husband Clyde, Rosalie Wills and husband James "Bo" Wills, and son-in-law, Eddie Groff. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a. m. Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at Maupin Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. Patsy H. Maddox, 80, of Fulton, Mo passed away at her home surrounded by family. She was born in Fulton, on August 24, 1943, to the late Ora Fay Holland and Sarah Ann "Sally" Davidson. Patsy was united in marriage to Larry Gene Maddox on April 8, 1961. He survives her passing. Patsy enjoyed her time at Wildwood, fishing, riding four-wheelers and the side by side. She enjoyed delivering flowers for eighteen years for McIntire's Florist. She talked often about her experiences with the customers around town. Patsy was known for joking and teasing people. Her true love was her family and especially her grandkids. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 62 years, Larry; son, Rance Maddox (Wendy Allen) of Fulton; daughter, Jamie Alvstad (David) Cannon Falls, Mn; brother, Hallie Holland of Columbia; sister, Nina Long of Bowling Green; six grandchildren, Nikholas Fischer, Nakayla Fischer, Christopher Fischer, Rance Maddox Jr. , Jerry Maddox, Jahnae Quick; eleven great grandchildren, Brantly Fischer, Karter Fischer, Luka Fischer, Safari Smith, Ryleigh Maddox, Cash Maddox, Koty Maddox, Camden Starky, Gage Quick, Holden Starky, Dalton Starky; sisters in law, Sharon Holland and Shirley Holland and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Patsy was preceded in death by her daughter, Nakiya "Nikki" Maddox-Quick; brothers, Curtis Holland and Kenneth Holland. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Church of God Holiness with Pastor Travis Sayler officiating.
