Mrs. Carolyn Johnson of Waco, fell asleep in death on Monday, December 26, 2022. 5-7 pm Friday, December 30, 2022 at Lake Shore Funeral Home. 9 am Saturday, December, 31, 2022 at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Carolyn Crain Johnson was born on June 14, 1951 in Waco, Texas to Rotain (Doc) and Lena Mae Crain. Carolyn was raised in Bosqueville, Texas and graduated from China Spring High School. During high school, Carolyn met and began courting the love of her life, Albert Johnson. Albert and Carolyn married on June 12, 1970 and through the years, nurtured and raised four beautiful children. Carolyn took great pride in caring for her husband, children, and grandchildren; creating a home of true refuge and unconditional love. She also spent time working in childcare allowing her to spread love to other children and families. Her joys included cooking, baking, sewing, gardening, listening to music, dancing, and home improvement projects with her husband. Undeniable was her beauty , yet her spirit was quiet, but strong. The woman within was what truly made her remarkable. She lit up the world and everyone around her with her beautiful smile. She possessed all qualities of a Proverbs 31 Woman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Johnson; her parents, Rotain (Doc) and Lena Mae Crain; granddaughter, Kai Lois Ervin; and sister, Irene (Lucy) Crain Bradshaw. Carolyn leaves behind to celebrate the life she lived and to cherish her memory, her beloved four children, Angela Yvonne Johnson, Barbara Nyree (Tyrone) Johnson, Ryan Albert (April) Johnson, and Bryan Matthew (Myana) Johnson; six beautiful grandchildren, Jada Louella Martin, Grant Ethan Hicks, Matthew Bryan Johnson, Jacob Cameron Johnson, Carson Edward Johnson, and Riley Albert Johnson; two endearing sisters, Mary (Racie, Sr. ) Dimerson and Brenda (Robert) Stevenson; four dear brothers Rotain (Esther) Crain, Jr. , Robert (Charlotte) Crain, Ronald (Angelea) Crain, and James Crain; Carolyn also leaves a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends who mourn her passing.
