Carolyn Apple Brady, 77, of Ramseur, died Saturday, September 9, 2023 at her residence. Funeral Services, 3 PM, Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at Loflin Funeral Home Chapel, Ramseur. Officiating, Rev. Tim Strider, Rev. Nathan Kiser. Carolyn was a native of Shiawassee County, Michigan and a longtime resident of Coleridge. She was a loving and supportive wife, mother, and grandmother that was devoted to caring for her home and her family. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Junia Wooten Apple. Survivors: husband, Odell Brady, of the home, daughter, Lisa Perkins, (Randy), of Liberty, South Carolina, step daughters, Marie Brown, of Ramseur, Joan Cheek, (David), of Ramseur, stepson, Russell Brady, (Sherry), of Ramseur, grandsons Caleb Perkins and Eli Perkins, step grandsons, Jason Cheek, Brandon Cheek, Wyatt Brady, Ronnie Brown, step granddaughters, Jana Gunter, Britney Canter, eight step great-grandchildren. Jeffrey Andrew Grevenstuk, age 66, of Ramsuer, N. C. died peacefully in his sleep on November 30, 2023. Jeff was born August 13, 1957 in DeMotte, Indiana to Gerrit and Kathryn Grevenstuk. He was the youngest of five children. Jeff attended grade schools in DeMotte and Kankakee Valley MS and HS. He graduated from Potterville High School in Michigan. Jeff was an adventurer. As a youngster he loved to wander the fields of Jasper County camping out in the neighbors' fields. He traveled to the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa, went to Florida for college and eventually settled in North Carolina. In N. C. he built the log home where he and the love of his life, Kim(berly) raised two sons. He was a great husband and an amazing dad. He had a passion for computers, building his first one in the 1990s. He also enjoyed supporting and encouraging his two sons through Boy Scouts, wrestling and all other endeavors. If anyone asks, "he's the man". He will be remembered as a kind and loving soul. He'll also be remembered for Christmas gifts from Swiss Colony, his endless collection of paperback novels, and his love of dogs (Trouble, Sweetie, Rynn, Bubba and Lily). He was predeceased by his parents, sister, Melodie Cross, nephew, Keith Cross, in-laws, Lola and Ralph Moore, and sister-in-law Estella. Family was his main focus and Kim was his beloved bride. His sons Erik (Jillian) and Gerrit (Jenny) were his pride and joy. He is survived by his sister Elaine (Rick) Ross. His brothers, David (Pat) Grevenstuk, George (Juel) Grevenstuk and brother-in-law Cliff Cross, brother-in-law Gordon (Elaine) Moore, sister-in-law Casey Swingle and many beloved nieces and nephews. The family offers a special thanks to the staff at Randolph Hospice House for their care of Jeff and the entire family. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the spring. Charles Richard "Chuck" Boniface, 95, of Ramseur, passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2023. Memorial Services, 11 AM, Saturday, December 30, 2023, at Patterson Grove Christian Church, Ramseur. Officiating, Rev. Brian Pierce, Rev. Gary Moger. Chuck was born in Perrysburg, Ohio, on Aug 20, 1928. He graduated from Camden High School in 1945. He continued his education at Philadelphia School of the Bible and graduated in 1949. There, Chuck met his future wife, Betty Jane Rassmussen. The couple was married on August 13, 1949. Chuck was ordained at Camden Baptist Church in 1950, and, for the next ten years, pastored Cambria and Locust Corners churches in southern Michigan. He then moved his growing family to Grand Rapids Michigan to further his education at Grand Rapids Baptist College and Seminary. Chuck received his Bachelor of Religious Education at Grand Rapids Baptist College in 1964, and a Master of Religious Education in 1966. Over the course of his pastoral experiences, he saw the need for Christian-based schools and education. From that observation he continued and expanded his education, and in 1973, he graduated from Western Michigan University with a Master of Arts in Educational Administration. Over the course of his professional career, he taught at, and administered Christian schools in Indiana, Illinois, Virginia, New York, and North Carolina until his retirement at the age of 71. In retirement he assisted in ministry at Shadow of the Cross Baptist Church in Asheboro, NC. He also worked as a security guard, finally retiring in 2022 at age 94. He was an active member of Patterson Grove Christian Church, Ramseur, NC, where he taught a young adult Sunday School class. Chuck enjoyed reading history, studying his Bible, and visits from his daughters, sons-in-law, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Rasmussen Boniface, parents, Charles Authur Boniface and Evelyn Johnston Duchemin, and brother, David Boniface. Survivors: daughters, Beckie DeYoung (Larry), of Hot Springs Village, AR, Bev Boniface, of Ramseur, Ruth Sheveland (Chuck), of Oshkosh, WI, Rose Wolf (Erik) of Kearneysville, WV, Esther Jones (Johnnie), of Clarkson, KY, sister, Sandra Doll, of Michigan, brother, James Boniface, of Colorado, grandchildren, Kyle Houghton (Allison), Sarah Boots (Spencer), Kari Searing (Paul), Kirsten Alexander (Daniel), Katie Jackson (Joey), Nelson Wolf (Charisse), great-grandchildren, Abigail, Kaitlyn, Adalene, Sutton, Isabelle.
