Funeral services for Carolyn "Sue" Aulds, age 88, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 2 p. m. Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at Bonita Road Baptist Church with Bro. Casey Johnson officiating. Visitation will be held from 12 noon until 2 p. m. Tuesday at the church. Interment will follow in Bonita Road Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Aulds, a long time member of Bonita Road Baptist Church passed away Friday, September 8, 2023. She was employed at Elias's for over 30 years where she enjoyed talking and visiting with others. She was a very active member of Bonita Road Baptist Church and loved her church family! She had numerous friends and a comical nature. Mrs. Aulds was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed having get togethers any chance she could, just to sit around and visit. Mrs. Aulds is survived by her children, Debbie Hale and husband Terry, Randy Aulds and wife Lynette, Kathy Hughes and husband Eric, Tami Brister and husband Barry, Todd Aulds and wife Sharon; sisters, Sylvia Dye, Sharon Sisson; brother, Bruce Goyne; grandchildren, Jayda Ropp, Jason Hale, Laine Mayon, Brittany Bonnett, Erica Gross, Cole Hughes, Ashton Hughes, Spencer Hughes, Erin Bush, Zachary Brister, Jacob Brister, Tabatha McHenry, Peyton Aulds, Hollen Aulds, numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and a special friend, caretaker and daughter, Cheryl McCrary. She is preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Aulds; parents, Oris and Eula Goyne; siblings, Luther Goyne, Larry Goyne, Linda Anderson; special sister-in-law, Bille Goyne and grandchildren, Barrett Hale and Chad Aulds. Serving as pallbearers are: Jason Hale, Cole Hughes, Spencer Hughes, Ashton Hughes, Justin Gross, Zachary Brister and Jacob Brister. Honorary pallbearers are: Craig Himel and Darren Mayon.

Memorial celebration services for Mrs. Pauline Laverne Frost Bryan, age 86, are scheduled for 2 PM Friday, December 8, 2023, at Cornerstone Baptist Church (3834 HWY 34, West Monroe, LA 71292) with Bro. Kyle Bryan officiating. Mrs. Bryan was born March 31, 1937, to John Lawson Frost and Mecie Estelle Bamburg of Luna, Louisiana. She was one of eleven children Otto Frost, Addie Mae Frost Head, Gertie Frost Thomas, Marie Frost Tolbird, Alfred Frost, Helen Frost Sharbono, Carl Frost, Ellis Frost, Dean Frost, and Dorothy Frost. She graduated from West Monroe High School in 1955. After high school, she attended nursing school at St. Francis hospital. She would often recount how the nuns who were teachers were very strict. After graduating from nursing school as an LPN, she worked as a surgical nurse at St. Francis Hospital. She married Allie JW Bryan on July 2, 1961, in a small ceremony in Choudrant, Louisiana. Together they raised three children, Kyle Bryan, (GayLynn) Clay Bryan, (Celli) and Nancy Bryan Freiling, (Tom). When her children were born, she put her nursing career on hold and returned to nursing in 1980 at Cherry Ridge Guest Care, Bastrop La. After retirement, Polly and JW began to serve the Lord in children's homes and a home for unwed mothers. They served the longest period of time at Palmer Home for Children in Columbus, Mississippi. She was a faithful member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. She especially loved Sunday School and having the children visit and sing Christmas carols to her at home. They were blessed with seven grandchildren Caleb Bryan, Caley Bryan Warren, (Isaac) Clayton Bryan, (Gracie) Nicholas Freiling, (Ashley) Matthew Freiling, Grant Freiling and Allie Corinne Freiling, and five great grandchildren Dean Freiling, Sara Freiling, Park Freiling, Anna Freiling, and Adaline Warren. She is preceded in death by her parents, John Lawson Frost and Mecie Estelle Bamburg, 9 of her siblings, her grandson Matthew Freiling and many beloved extended family and friends.Show more

Harold was born on January 14, 1951, in Bastrop and attended Bastrop High School. He then went on to serve in the Louisiana National Guard. After serving, he returned to Bastrop where he built a career as a barber, working alongside family members daily. Harold was a lifelong Christian. He had an untamable spirit, a hearty laugh, and a love of the outdoors. Harold was happiest when surrounded by friends, family, and four-legged animals. He never declined an opportunity to throw the ball with his son orgrandsons. He is survived by his mother Christine Burgess Holland, of Tampa, Florida; his son, Jeremiah Jason Holland (Megan) and beloved grandsons, Gray Jeremy Holland and Samuel Reid Holland, of Frisco, TX; his brother Jimmy Lyn Holland (Mary Ann), of Grand Bay, Alabama; sister Jo Ann Cooper (Ed), of New Orleans, Louisiana; and brother Gary Wayne Holland (Carolyn) of Tampa, Florida; former wife Kathy Johnson Holland of Bastrop; and a host of cousins, nephews, nieces and extended family. He was preceded in death by his father, Douglas Ray Holland, and brother, Donnie Ray Holland. Honorary pallbearers are Donnie Allen, Ricky Halterman, Derrell Holland, Joe Johnson and Louis Morrison. Memorials may be made to the American Legion Hall or American Ex-Prisoners of War Foundation. Interment will follow in Hughes Chapel Cemetery, under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Monday, December 4, 2023, from 5 PM - 7 PM at the church. Bobby Allen Brown, a retired Instrument Technician, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023, at the age of fifty-six. He gave his life to the Lord in November of 2022, and was baptized with his granddaughter. He was a member of Hughes Chapel Church where he also served as the groundskeeper. Bobby was a friend, father figure, brother, son, and an amazing husband. If you knew Bobby, you knew when hunting season comes around, don't come down the driveway during Prime Time. He loved to hunt and fish. He loved hanging out with his friends, and enjoyed throwing just about anything: darts, horseshoes, cornhole, baseball, or even little pieces of paper in his buddies' coffee in the morning. Bobby was a jokester, always picking on someone. He was a great friend, always there when someone needed him. Bobby was a hard worker and always made sure his family was taken care of. He adored his grandchildren and loved spending time with them. He loved the little piece of paradise he called home, and he loved his wife of twenty-seven years and the life they built together. He also loved his best friend Trigger who was his constant companion and went everywhere with him. Delton Lavonne Jordan, Jr. was born at Bastrop, Louisiana on January 3, 1953. He passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 26, 2023 at the Citizens Medical Center in Columbia, Louisiana. Bro. Dale Jordan is preceded in death by his parents, Bro. Dalton Lavonne Jordan, Sr. and Blanche Cauthern Jordan and a sister, Barbara Powell. Bro. Dale, or "Bro. Bubba", as he was affectionately known, was a graduate of the Bastrop High Class of 1971 and minister at the Sandy Bayou Baptist Church in Columbia, Louisiana. Along with his wife, Shelia, he pastored numerous churches in both Louisiana and Arkansas. Bro. Bubba was also a pastoral counselor for over 13 years with Premier Hospice minstering the grace of God with numerous families. Bro. Jordan will be remembered by his family as a loving husband and devoted father, grandfather, and brother. He was loved. Bro. Dale "Bubba" Jordan is survived by his wife of 49 years, Shelia Stafford Jordan, their three children, Christy Anders and her husband Mark of Monroe, Louisiana, Ricky Dale Jordan and his wife Amy of Monroe, Louisiana, and Candice Rogers and her husband Daniel of Columbia, Louisiana. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Degan Hutson Jordan, Adelyn Marianna Jordan, Ainsley Brooke Rogers, Natalie Elyse Rogers, Trent Allen Anders, and Gibson Reed Anders; five sisters, Lucille Gee, Carolyn Mayes, Jaynie Turnbow, Linda Sue Bolin, and Tammy Boersma; numerous nieces, nephews, a host of extended church families; and a beloved companion and best friend, his collie Logan.
