Kenneth A. Marcotte, Sr. , age 70, passed away peacefully Friday, December 1, 2023 with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Linda P. (Rutko) Marcotte. Born in Providence, he was a son of Daisy E. (Travison) Marcotte and the late Louis E Marcotte. Kenneth was the loving father of Kenneth Marcotte, Jr. and his spouse, Jeanette and Alicia Hunt and her husband Leo, Sr. He was the adored 'Pop' to five grandchildren. Kenneth was the brother of Gary Marcotte and the late Louis E. Marcotte, Jr. Kenneth was blessed with the biggest heart and loved living life to the fullest. His children and family were everything to him. The day he met his wife Linda, he said, 'that's the girl I am going to marry' and together they shared 48 years of marriage. They worked side by side every day operating the family business and in recent years they spent winters together at their home in Florida. He was so proud of his children and all their accomplishments and made sure everyone knew his son was a paramedic with the Central Coventry Fire Department. Kenneth loved golfing and in his younger years enjoyed fishing, boating, and spending time on his Harley-Davidson Motorcycle. He wasn't afraid to tackle any project and his grandchildren often said, 'Pop can fix everything!' He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him. His funeral will be held Thursday, December 7, 2023 at 9AM from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave. , Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in Sts. Rose and Clement Church, Long St. , Warwick. Visitation Wednesday from 4-8PM.
