"Caroline Baer Baird was born on March 2, 1947 to Mildred Theurer and Reuben Baer in Tremonton, Utah where she had many happy memories and adventures riding horses at Holmgren's farm, ice skating, and sleigh riding. She enjoyed visiting with many cousins at her grandparents' home. Caroline had a unique sense of humor that brought joy and laughter to all who associated with her. She was so quick at making hilarious remarks or comments. She enjoyed making people laugh and was very good at it. And she loved to have fun. In high school she was a proud member of a dancing trio called "The Plunger Sisters," a group that preformed at school assemblies and danced with toilet plungers while wearing their mothers' old formal dresses. She graduated from Bear River High School, attended Utah State University and Weber State University where she fell in love with and married her eternal companion Dale D Baird in the Salt Lake City Temple on August 24, 1966. Caroline's greatest desire in life has always been to be a mother. She always said that her greatest blessing in life is her family. She and Dale worshiped their children: Angela (Bruce) Needham, Farmington; Anthony (Kim) Baird, Farmington; Andrew (Carolyn) Baird, Eagle, ID; Andrea (Kendell) Gracey, Farmington; and Aaron (Catherine) Baird, Meridian, ID. Caroline and Dale rejoiced with the birth of each of their 21 grandchildren: Kate (Sam Low), Joseph, Olivia, Suzannah, Julia, Jacob, Andrew, Lincoln, Hunter, Connor, Benjamin, Thomas, Caroline, Ella, Luke, Allison, Jackson, Avery, Brooklyn, Mia, and Logan. Caroline had a great capacity for empathy and love for others and those qualities blessed many lives. She followed spiritual promptings to reach out to others with a kind word, a visit or an act of service. She regularly called or texted her children and grandchildren to ask them how their day was going and to leave funny voicemails, but also to leave messages telling her family how much she loved them. Caroline could always be found making her home-garden so spectacular. She was also a Master Gardner and served a mission at Temple Square where she worked in the gardens and helped design the beautiful flower beds. Caroline and Dale worked side-by-side for years in their garden and decorating their home for all the holidays. Traditions, and love of family, were some of Caroline's defining characteristics. Caroline has always had a great love for her Father in Heaven and her Savior Jesus Christ. She was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Caroline has had recurring cancer since 2009. She refused to let the effects of chemo therapy slow her down. There wasn't a day that she didn't share her homemade meals and love with others. Caroline's life was a beautiful tapestry of love, faith, happiness, service, family, and many close friends. She surrounded her life with beauty: her garden, her home, played piano by ear beautifully, decorating for all holidays, lots and lots of parties with friends and family. Caroline is survived by her husband, all her children and grandchildren, and by her brother, Mark Baer, and her nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 11:00 am.
