JOSEPH MICHAEL DROZDOWSKY of Mt. Laurel, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, November 28th, 2023 at the age of 85. Born in Philadelphia, PA, on October 23, 1938, he is the son of the late Frank M. and the late Margaret R. (nee Casey) Drozdowsky. Joe grew up in South Jersey and has resided in Mt. Laurel for many years. Joe was a hard worker and from an early age he picked tomatoes, potatoes, and asparagus on his grandfather's farm and packed tomatoes for the Campbell Soup Company. He also spent many hours working at his father's gas station. His first official job was with the Camden County Fair. Joe was never one to watch the world go by. He gardened, raised his beloved chickens, and grew prize-winning gladiolus. Joe loved and listened to a wide variety of music. He graduated from Haddon Heights High School in 1957 after participating in archery, student council, and chorus. Joe began his career at RCA and went on to work at the Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia, PA for over 25 years, retiring in 2003. His volunteer work included serving for several years with the Stratford Fire Department. Joe loved his family, nature, birds, and traveling. He visited many countries and was a perpetual cruiser, always excited to decide on where to visit next. His family will miss his wonderful stories as well as his ability to listen and make them feel loved and accepted. Joe is survived by his devoted longtime companion Della Freire of Mount Laurel. He is the beloved father of Sharon Perkins (Jim) of Graham, NC and Patricia Bechamps (Ron) of Robbinsville. He is the beloved grandfather of Brenden Bechamps and Aiden Bechamps. Joe is also survived by his "adopted" family, daughter in heart, Barbara Freire (Gordie) and John Edmonds. His grandsons Michael Edmonds (Jennifer) and David Edmonds (Briana). Finally, Joe is survived by his sister Elaine Jones (Sid) of Carrollton, GA, several nieces and nephews, and his special friend Shiloh. Joe is predeceased by the mother of his children, Cynthia Drozdowsky, his daughter in heart Diane Edmonds, and his siblings Margaret Giese and Frank Drozdowsky. Relatives and friends are invited to greet his family on Thursday, December 7th from 9:30 - 11:00 AM at the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME, 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Road, Medford, NJ, where a Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in the Colestown Cemetery in Cherry Hill, NJ. John J. Taus passed away peacefully on November 5, 2023 at the age of 69. He was born in Englewood, NJ to Anna (nee Weiss) and John Taus. Having been an outstanding athlete throughout his youth for baseball & basketball, John enjoyed watching NBA basketball games (his favorite player was Larry Bird), and he was a huge fan of the NY Yankees & NY Mets. He enjoyed eating at the many diners in the area, getting together with family members for all occasions, trips to the Jersey Shore and many train rides to NYC and Atlantic City. In his spare time, one of his favorite activities was watching re-runs of the famous TV show from the 1950s, The Honeymooners, starring Jackie Gleason & Ed Norton. John learned the plumbing trade as an apprentice in NYC, often being assigned to assist in the extensive bathroom renovations of famous wealthy clients such as Jackie Onassis & Bert Lahr. In the evenings, he attended night classes for the trade, studied and passed the state exam on his very first attempt, earning his NJ plumbing license. He established his own business for many years in Fort Lee, NJ, specializing in hot-water baseboard heating systems and bathroom renovations, while also serving as a volunteer fireman for Engine Company #1 in Fort Lee, following in the community service commitments of his father, uncles and grandfather. Years later, John earned his commercial driver's license and drove "18 wheelers" for 11 years transporting frozen food products throughout the U. S. for J&J Snack Foods, which is headquartered in Pennsauken, NJ. He received numerous safety awards for logging thousands of accident-free miles while driving for J&J Snack Foods. John is the beloved brother of Diane (nee Taus) Nadola, brother-in-law Benjamin Nadola, uncle of Brandon Nadola (& Loretta Boyle), Caroline Nadola, Sandra (nee Nadola) Kreitz, (& her spouse Keith Kreitz) and Matthew Nadola, and great nephews Kurt Kreitz & Clint Kreitz, and great niece Katherine Kreitz. He is the beloved close relative of many first cousins. And, he is beloved by his very close friends, Tony & Jayne Martini. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation & celebration of life on Friday, 12-08-2023 from 11am - 12:30pm in the Bradley & Stow Funeral Home, 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Road, Medford, NJ 08055.
