"Walter Harold Tuglus, 102, of Redington Shores, FL passed away on November 14, 2023. He was born on March 31, 1921 in Chicago, IL to Walter and Mary Mae (Kotraba) Tuglus Sr. A veteran of the United States Army, Walter served in WWII. He then received a PhD in Electrical Engineering. Walter moved to Florida in 1964 and retired from the City of Pinellas Park as an Electrical Inspector. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Margaret Tuglus; children, Terrie Wright and Walter Tuglus Jr. ; grandson, Matthew Tassillo; and great granddaughter, Elyse Tassillo. Survivors include his daughter, Sandra Snyder; son, Peter (Kathy) Tuglus; grandchildren, Nathan Wright, Tina Snyder, and Kathy Tuglus; and 2 great grandchildren. A graveside service will take place on a later date at Memorial Park Cemetery. "Show more

Frances E. Saliba, 98, of Redington Shores, Florida passed away on August 21, 2023 after being diagnosed with cancer. Fran was born on July 28, 1925 in Murray City, Ohio. Fran married Victor J. Saliba in Detroit, Michigan on August 17, 1946 and had three children, Vicki, Paul, and David. In 1982, Fran and Vic moved to Redington Shores, Florida. Fran was predeceased by her husband Victor, daughter Vicki, her siblings Jack, Eugene and Thelma, and her great grandchild Zoe. She is survived by her sons Paul and David, four grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held this autumn, with details to follow. Carolyn Helene Whitmer, 56, of Redington Shores, FL passed away on October 29, 2022, after a brief, but valiant fight against cancer. She is survived by her loving husband David; Children, Sarah, Zachary, and Benjamin; Brother, Steve (Maria) Elia; Sister, Linda (Jason) Tomaras; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her father and mother, Arthur and Rosemarie Elia. Carolyn grew up in the Philadelphia suburbs and was a life-long, passionate Eagles fan. She moved with family in 1981 to Florida where she graduated from Tarpon Springs High School in 1984 and met her future husband. They wed in July 1987 and had an incredible life together. Carolyn was a dental hygienist for several years until she became a homemaker and devoted mother. Carolyn loved children and nurtured all the goodness in them throughout her life.
