Obituary of Carol Santangelo Mrs. Carol Jeanne (Rice) Santangelo, age 82 of Chatsworth, GA passed on Saturday, January 26 th , 2019 at the Ridgewood Manor Nursing Home in Dalton. Mrs. Santangelo was born on March 2 nd , 1936 in St. Louis, Missouri to her late parents, R. Edward Rice and Doris Vierheller Rice. She graduated from Normandy High School and worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Xerox company. Carol was a member of Good Samaritan Catholic Church in Ellijay. She was also a member of the Audubon Society and an active member of ASPCA. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, February 2 nd , 2019 at the Good Samaritan Catholic Church with Father Carlos Vargas officiating, with 4 th degree of the Knights of Columbus serving as pallbearers. She is survived by her husband of 52 years William "Bill" Santangelo of the home in Chatsworth, GA; daughters and son in-law, Karen and Rob Raley of Macon, GA, Machele Vierheller of Eugene, OR; son, William E. Santangelo of Meansville, GA; sisters, Judith Aberly of Thornton, CO, Chris Reeves of St. Louis, MO; brother, Rick Rice of Jefferson City, Mo; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 1 st , 2019 from 4:00pm until 9:00pm at the Logan Funeral Home.
