Born in Fardella, Italy, on July 19, 1921 to Antonio and Angela Rose Favale,and after a long, successful and plentiful life, his heavenly Father called JoJo to his final reward on February 21,2024. Along with his father Antonio, JoJo arrived in the United States at Ellis Island in October, 1935. He is a member of the Greatest Generation and an example of the American success story. Starting from humble beginnings and with a strong work ethic, ambition, and perseverance, he struggled through the Great Depression becoming the owner of one of the best restaurants (Villa Pensa) in Little Italy. Many loyal customers became friends. In 1950, he married Gioconda (Jean) Saccone and together they raised five children: Anthony, Joanne, Joseph, Daniel, and Angela; they were also blessed with two grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He instilled his love of family in his children and loved spending time with all of them, especially his great grandchildren. Though the years, he enjoyed cultivating his garden, traveling, listening to music, and watching boxing and the Yankees. Upon retirement, he looked forward to spending time in Florida. He is survived by his loving children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. A service to celebrate JoJo’s life will be held on February 26,2024 at 9:45 a.m. at The Shrine Church of St. Bernadette located at 8201 13 th Avenue, Brooklyn, New York. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Saint Charles / Resurrection Cemeteries. In lieu of flowers, the Favale family requests that donations be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. JoJo will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandpa, and great grandfather. He was predeceased by his loving wife Jean of five years. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Giuseppe “Joe” Rizzi, a beloved Italian- American man, esteemed veteran, and cherished father and grandfather, passed away peacefully at the age of 95 on February 23rd 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on Aug. 28th 1928 in Bari, Italy, Giuseppe came to America at a young age where he embraced the American Dream while preserving his rich Italian heritage. He proudly served in the Italian navy, honoring his country with dedication. Giuseppe is survived by his older brother Sallustio and loving daughters, Vera Rizzi-Stanzl and Maria Curto, son-in-law Angelo Curto and cherished grandchildren, Charles and Amanda Curto. He was a source of unwavering love, guidance and support for his family, instilling in them the values of resilience, integrity and compassion. Giuseppe was a devoted husband to his beloved wife Diva, who preceded him is death 23 years ago. Together they shared a love and bond like no other that continues to inspire all who knew them. Throughout his life, Giuseppe embodied the spirit of a hard working man and perseverance. He was a dedicated provider and a beacon of strength for his family and friends. His legacy of love, kindness and generosity will live on through the countless lives he touched. In his free time, Giuseppe enjoyed sharing stories of his Italian heritage, playing cards, and spending time with his family. He was truly loved and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Paul Jean Morra September 9, 1934 - February 19, 2024 Paul loved life and lived it to the fullest. He leaves his beloved wife Blanca, and her large extended family. His 3 devoted daughters: Eve, Marisa, and Susan Morra, his grandson Julian, and many nieces and nephews. Paul was a 1959 graduate of Villanova University, and was proud to support his alma mater throughout his life. He worked at the family business Crusader Candle Company in Brooklyn his whole life after serving his 2 years in the army. Paul was known for his generosity, and many people adored him. He was a fun loving person, and did everything with gusto. He was well known for his love of cars, golf, and a good Italian meal. He was a fighter till the end, and pushed through some difficult health issues in his last few years, but he was committed to living life on his terms. He will be missed by so many people, but especially by his wife and his family.
