She lived in Tenney MN for a few years before her family moved to Wheaton, MN, where she graduated from Wheaton High School in 1960. In her youth she enjoyed spending time with her siblings and cousins and helping her mom with household chores. Carol was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith and was a member of the Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Dassel. Carol moved to the Dassel -Cokato area in the mid-sixties along with her mom and younger sister's family. Carol enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews as much as she could and loved helping take care of them. She was a kind and generous woman. Carol started Volunteering at Lakeside nursing home in the early 90s; she took pride in her volunteer work and spent time there almost daily until she was admitted as a resident in 2010 and called that her home. Carol truly enjoyed her life at Dassel Lakeside; she was involved in many activities and knew all the events around there and in town. She loved it when family, friends, and staff would bring in their children to visit. She made friends with many of the residents and staff during her time there. Carol is survived by her sister Lois Fjelde of Rosemount, sister-in-law Darlene Nelson of Cokato, Pat Nelson of St. Cloud, and brother-in-law, Gerald Bapp of Dassel; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Carol will be very dearly missed by all who had the privilege to know her. She will always be our sunshine! "Your right hand will hold me fast. " Psalm 139:10 (njv)"
