Patti Diane (Bish) Kosicek, 68, of Ford City, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Salem Regional Medical Center in Salem, Ohio. She was born in Kittanning, Pa. on October 5, 1955, the daughter of the late Robert C. Bish and Rachel L. (Bennett) Dunham, and she was a lifelong resident of the area. Patti was Baptist. She enjoyed baking with her granddaughters, crocheting blankets and spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband, William T. Kosicek, whom she married on January 30, 1982; son, Scott (Gail) Kosicek, of Pa. ; daughter, Donna Delp, of Pa. ; grandson, Zachary, Kosicek, of Pa. ; granddaughters, Emily Delp, of South Carolina and Melissa Delp, of Pa. ; great-granddaughter, Zayla Kosicek, of Pa. ; sisters, Chris (Terry) Campomizzi, of Oregon and Cindy (Merve) Wadding, of Pa. ; and her brothers, Raymond (Julie) Bish, of Oregon, Roy (Sherry) Bish, of Pa. and Robert (Sharon) Bish, of Maryland. In addition to her parents, Patti was preceded in death by her sister, Sandra Binder, and brother, Ronald Bish. Elmer A. Reed, 97, passed away Friday, December 1, 2023 at Salem Regional Medical Center. Elmer was born on October 4, 1926 in Schuylkill Haven, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Clarence E. and Lula (Fessler) Reed. He served in the US Navy during WWII, and was a member of the VFW Post 892 in Salem. Elmer was an assembler at E. W. Bliss Co. retiring in 1988 with 37 years of experience. His wife Joan A. (Umbenhauer) Reed, whom he married on June 30, 1951, preceded him in death on February 6, 2011. Left to cherish his memory is his daughter Valerie (Fred) Brickner; grandchildren, Jody Thackery, Katrina (Alex Cabrera) Brickner, Lindsay (Alex) Marotto; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Evan, Landon, Eli, Skylar, and Tristan; and son-in-law, Thomas Englert. Jamie Berresford

Jamie Sue (Woodall) Berresford, age 46, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Salem Regional Medical Center on Thursday, November 30th at 9 AM following a very lengthy illness. She was 46 years young at her time of passing. Jamie is survived in death by her husband Justin "Snuffy" Berresford, three children, Austin James (Shelly) Berresford (29), Andrew Michael (Cassie) Berresford (23), and Jaclyn Rylee Berresford (21), and grandson Logan Howell (15). She is also survived by her mother, Frances "Jane" (Pasco) Woodall and her younger sister Jessica "Jessi" (Woodall) Lease, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, niece and nephew, and dear friends. She was predeceased by her father Richard "Dick" Woodall Jr. and her sister Jeanie Marie Woodall. Jamie attended United Local Elementary and Highschool and Co-owned and ran a business with her husband Justin called "Redstone Recycling, LLC" where she took great pride in her work and cared deeply for her employees. Friday nights at the "Round Table" in her home with her employees was one of her favorite places to be. Many memories and great laughs were shared there. Jamie's interests included listening to Five Finger Death Punch, swimming, watching crime TV shows, and spending time with her family and friends. Jamie loved being by the water. Lake Erie was her most favorite place to be. She lived by Lake Erie and Guilford Lake for many years. She also loved to fish when her health permitted it. Jamie adored her children and her niece and nephew (Presley,7 and Easton,9) with the fierceness of a mama bear. She was always there if someone she loved needed a shoulder or even some very blunt advice. Sugar-coating was foreign to her. She would always tell you what she thought no matter your sensitivities and those closest to her loved that about her. Even as her health declined, she always managed to smile. Her laugh was as infectious as her sense of humor. Jamie never let anything stop her from reaching a goal, and that mentality is ever-present in her children. She taught everyone who knew her how to fight with her heart of gold and warrior soul. To say that she will be missed is an unbelievable understatement, but to say that she has earned her rest is as well. Aurora- Kathleen A. Clark, formerly of Canfield was born September 9, 1950, in Youngstown, OH, and passed away November 25 in Cleveland, OH at the age of 73. A beloved wife of 52 years to the late Teddy L. Clark, she was also preceded in death by her parents, Francis R. and Virginia J. Quinlan, a sister, Faith Juillerat, and her brother Kenneth Quinlan. Her life was one of dedication, compassion, love, and support. She was wise beyond her years (always!). Besides her brilliance and quick wit, it was her authenticity and emotional intelligence that led every aspect of her life. She spent 30 plus years working professionally as the practice manager for the Cancer Care Hospital in Youngstown, OH while raising two sons and being the glue that held her entire extended family together. Her love, loyalty, and influence has inspired three generations of those lucky enough to have been part of her life. . . losing Kathy and her husband, Teddy, has been like losing an essential piece of our souls. Kathy was the center of her entire nuclear and extended family's universe. She will be sadly missed and forever cherished by her sons, Patrick E. (Mindy) Clark of Columbus, and Michael F. Roger Luscombe

Roger H. Luscombe, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, and a respected broadcaster, passed away on November 22, 2023, in Poland Township, Ohio. Born on April 23, 1939, in Warren, Ohio, to Edward and Hazel (McKibben) Luscombe, Roger was a pillar of his community and a beacon of positivity to those who had the pleasure of knowing him. Roger graduated from Warren Harding High School in 1957 and went on to attend Kent State University. From an early age, he had an infectious enthusiasm and a natural talent for connecting with people, qualities that served him well in his long and successful career in broadcasting. For 50 years, Roger worked as a radio broadcaster and program director for WSOM in Salem, where he was affectionately known as "Jolly Roger. " Notable among his many accomplishments was his coverage of the 1960 visit by JFK to Reilly Stadium, a highlight of his broadcasting career. On November 9, 1963, Roger married the love of his life, Sandra (Fredrick) Luscombe. Together, they built a home filled with laughter, love, and kindness. In their 60 years of marriage, they gave birth to their son, Mark Luscombe, who resides in Poland Township. Roger's legacy is also carried on by his grandson, Cory, who will forever remember his grandfather's enduring warmth and wisdom. Besides his parents, Roger was preceded in death by one brother, William, and two sisters, Virginia and Madilyn. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Roger was known for his love of golf. An avid golfer, he had the honor of winning the Sam Brown Dodge Golf Open, a victory he often shared with friends and family. He also enjoyed walking, a testament to his love of nature and his active lifestyle. Roger was a man of many talents, but above all, he was kind, funny, and friendly. His jovial personality made him a joy to be around, and his kind-hearted nature made him a friend to all. His humor, often showcased in his broadcasts as "Jolly Roger," brought smiles to many faces and will be fondly remembered by his listeners. Linda S. Gray 75 of West Salem, Ohio died Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at Cleveland Clinic Foundation. She was born January 24, 1948 in Wooster the daughter of Charles and Elizabeth (Paulus) Dillon. Linda married George Gray on May 5, 1978. He survives. She was co-owner with her husband of George's Alignment of West Salem for 38 years. Linda enjoyed going to the Casinos, family vacations in Mohican, coaching Northwestern Soccer and watching her grandchildren sporting events. She is survived by her husband; George of 45 years marriage, children; Loni Bowersock (Bruce Carruth), Vicki (Rock) Frost, Lori Dugan (Nathan Younce), Brian (Lori) Gray and Sue (Scott) Young, grandchildren; Travis (Monica), Rachael (Sam), Zac, Kenzi, Tori, Lexi, Kelsey, Melanie, Lucas, Samantha (Bryan), Andy, Tyler (Emily) and Dawson (Lilly). June D. Henceroth, 88, passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2023, at Salem Regional Medical Center. Born on June 17, 1935, in Leetonia, Ohio, June was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Weaver) Driscoll. June was a proud graduate of Leetonia High School and later earned her master's degree from Kent State University. She dedicated her life to education, serving as a 4th grade teacher at United Elementary School for 31 years. Her passion for teaching and her commitment to her students left an indelible mark on countless lives. She was a respected member of the Franklin Square Community Church, where she was known for her faith and kindness. June is survived by her children, William (Christina) Henceroth, Dale Henceroth, and Kathy Timmons. She was a grandmother to eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Hough. June was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles William "Bill" Henceroth, four brothers, and two sisters. SALEM - Donald Eugene Bragg, 69, passed away early Wednesday morning, November 22, 2023, at Salem Regional Medical Center. Donald was born on December 5, 1953, in East Liverpool, the son of the late Earl Daniel and Mable (Parson) Bragg. Donald proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged for his services. Donald worked as a laborer for many different companies in many different positions. He was a "Jack of All Trades" and did everything from being a truck driver, a roofer, and even a steel worker. He loved to tinker with things and make them work again. Donald leaves his wife the former Elizabeth Burns whom he married March 25, 1982; four children, Tammy Tapscott and her husband Ricky of Mechanicstown, Melissa Ketchum and her husband Nathaniel of Carrolton, Delmer Murray and his wife Shelia of Elizabeth, WV, and Jami Maltonic and her husband Christopher of Salem; 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; his brothers, Earl, John, and Rodger; and five sisters, Janilee, Edith, Geneva, Linda, and Diane. Sr. and Lottie V. (Kellson) Whitehair. Hayward worked at Blackhawk Industries for 20 years. He was a life member of the AMVETS. Survivors include sons, Jay Whitehair of North Jackson and Hayward F. Marilyn "Jane" Smith, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 17, 2023, at the age of 83. Surrounded by her loving family, Jane spent her final days at Blossom Nursing Home in Salem, where she was cared for with the utmost dignity and respect. Jane was born on June 24, 1940, in Kansas, to the late John and Grace "Schmidt" Cotton. A proud Kansan, she carried the values of hard work, resilience, and family devotion throughout her life. Jane was a graduate of Hutchinson High School. Following her graduation, Jane embarked on a remarkable 35-year career at Hyde-A-Way Golf Course in Beloit, where she performed the role of office manager with unwavering dedication. Jane was a jack-of-all-trades, often going above and beyond her duties to serve snacks and maintain the friendly atmosphere that the golf course was known for. Jane was a woman of many talents and interests. She was an avid reader, often losing herself in the pages of a good book. Jane also had a creative side, spending countless hours crocheting and embroidering, needlepointing, and sewing. She took part in a bowling league, handling her role as the secretary with grace and efficiency. An excellent golfer herself, Jane's passion for the sport extended beyond her career. She was known as an amazing cook amongst her family. Jane's life was enriched by a loving family. She shared an enduring, 67-year-long marriage with her husband, George E. Smith, whom she married on November 17, 1956. Their love story was one of devotion, respect, and mutual support. Jane was also a devoted mother to her children; Sandy (Tim) Kaiser of Hilliard, Chuck (Becky) Smith of Salem, and Jeff (Lisa) Smith, of Lisbon. She found immense joy in her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother. Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren; Andrea, Laura, Matthew, Brittany, Alexis, Sarah, Tara and Brian; and great-grandchildren; Alex, Anna, Basil, Addison, Nicholas, Benjamin, Easton, Gannon, Madix, Teegan, Tatum, Aubrey, and one on the way. Jane also leaves behind two brothers, Jeff and Dennis Cotton. Jane was preceded in death by her daughter, Heather Jo Mancuso. Her family would like to welcome those who knew and loved Jane to a celebration of life, to be held on Sunday, November 26, at 1:00 pm at Hunt Club Lanes in Salem. This gathering will serve as an opportunity to remember Jane's remarkable life and the many ways she touched the lives of those around her.
