Carol Marie Crawford, 80, passed away peacefully at her home in Toms River, New Jersey, on Tuesday, October 3rd, 2023. Carol was born in Flushing, Queens, New York and moved to Ocean Grove as a teen in 1957. She graduated from High School in Neptune, NJ. She attended nursing school at Muhlenberg Hospital School of Nursing in Plainfield, NJ. She earned her BS at Oakland University in Michigan. Carol started working for Ocean County College, NJ in 1982 as the Director of Health Services not only taking care of the students, but the entire staff and employees, until she retired in 2009. Some of her favorite things to do were needlepoint, reading, keeping up on the latest health matters and especially collecting blue and white Asian pottery and china. She was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Lucille Crawford. Carol is survived by her beloved husband of 24 years, Harvey Marc Onore, a retired attorney from Toms River whom she married on Christmas Eve in 1999. Also survived by Carol are her loving sister Donna Crawford Cunningham, her stepson Todd Onore his wife Priya, her grandchildren Avani, Deven and Dhilan, her son Stephens Gurdian, and grandsons Stephens and Alex. She will be sorely missed by her dear friends Bruce and Karen Eckart and her loving aid Theresa Lewis to whom we owe a gratitude of debt for taking such good care of Carol for almost 10 years. "Panagiota (Toula) Kominos was born in Athens Greece to Irene and John Loukaides on December 7, 1931. She spent her holidays and summers with her family on Kalamos Island and Aegion Greece until World War II where she survived the Nazi occupation of Greece. She was born a proud American citizen. Her father was a citizen and lived in the United States for several years before returning to Greece in the late 1920s. Her family returned to the United States and lived in Astoria, NY where she attended high school, played volleyball and went to NY Yankee games. After marrying John Kominos, she had her first daughter Vivian and the family moved to Jersey City, NJ. They had 2 more daughters: Irene and Dorothea and resided in Jersey City. She had a thirst for learning and always wanted to go to college. She realized her dream when she received a bachelor\u0027s degree in English and Education in her early 40s. She later was an executive administrative assistant at First Jersey National Bank until retirement. She would often take her daughters on the PATH train to Manhattan where they would shop at a Macys, visit Christmas Window displays, go to Rockefeller Center, circuses, musicals, opera and museums. She loved cats and always had a cat with a good Greek name. The family moved to Point Pleasant, NJ in 1986. While taking care of her ill husband, she developed breast cancer and was a proud 30\u0026#43; year survivor. Her beloved husband John passed away in 2003. She remained in Point Pleasant until 2016, when she moved to Basking Ridge to be closer to her daughter. She continued to be an avid reader, NY Yankees fan and loved Leonardo DiCaprio movies. She was most proud of her daughters, who all have advanced degrees, and her grandchildren Aaron Kominos-Smith and Sophia Murgolo. She is survived by her three daughters, Vivian Kominos and husband, Elliot Smith of Rumson, NJ, Irene Kominos and husband Dave Butler of Helena, MT and Dorothea Kominos and Nicholas Murgolo of Millington, NJ. In addition to her grandchildren, she was the proud great-grandmother of Maya Marigold Kominos. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Complete Care of Green Knoll. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to The American Cancer Society in her memory. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1-5PM. Joseph Michael Myslinski, 82, of Toms River, passed from this life peacefully on Friday, December 8, 2023. Joseph was born August 29, 1941 in Perth Amboy to the late Joseph and Pauline Myslinski. He was a loving husband, devoted father and adoring grandfather. He enjoyed playing golf, gardening, sailing, and traveling. He was known to have a great sense of humor and as a man who could fix anything. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Joseph is predeceased by his parents, Joseph Stanley Myslinski and Pauline Humeniuk Myslinski. Joseph is survived by his wife, Phyllis Sibilia Myslinski, sons, Brian Myslinski and his wife Daniela Benitez of Toms River; Paul Myslinski and his wife Crystal of Stafford, New Hampshire; Luke Myslinski and his wife Christine of Sunnyvale, California; brother, Jerry Myslinski and his wife Mary Anne of Somerset; grandchildren, Steven, Alex, Aly, William and Michael. The family will receive friends and relatives on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 from 4:00 PM till 8:00 PM at Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 995 Fischer Blvd. , Toms River.
