Carol Clark Obituary

Carol Dean Clark, age 96 of Vonore, TN passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023 at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. Carol was born in Trenton, Missouri to Harve A. and Bliss L. (McDonald) McLain. She lived in Trenton, Missouri in her youth, married Junior Lee Stinnett and moved to California while Junior was in the Navy. Carol lived in Des Plaines, Illinois for most of her adult years. In 2019 she moved to Vonore, Tennessee to live near her daughters and closer to her son. She loved her family with a passion and prayed daily for each and every family member. Carol loved Jesus her Lord and Saviour and told every person she met how he saved her and changed her life forever. Carol loved flowers and worked at Busse Flower Shop for many years, where she created many beautiful arrangements. She also worked at Lutheran General Hospital in the neonatal department for 10 years and then worked at High School District 211 Administration Center for 25 years where she was dearly loved. Carol loved her job but at 92 she retired. Those preceding Carol in death include her parents; sisters, Mary Whitney, Doris Stinnett, Lois McLaughlin and Lydall Nickell; brother, William McLain and granddaughter, Angela Schultz. Surviving relatives include her children and spouses: Carolyn and Wayne Wagner, Vickie and Reece Thome, Steve and Crystal Stinnett; grandchildren and spouses: Robert and Pam Schultz, Tim Schultz, Jenny Wagner and husband, Phil Baumann, David and Sylvia Wagner, Matthew and Sotiria Stinnett; many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Bernie Nickell along with several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 12 p. m. to 2 p. m. on Saturday, May 13th at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 2 p. m. with her grandson, Robert Schultz officiating. We will then proceed to Lakeview Cemetery for graveside services and interment.
