Mrs. Carol Fay (Barnes) Carter, age 82, of Guston, KY, passed way on Sunday, June 19, 2022, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, KY. Mrs. Carter was born August 27, 1939, the daughter of Theodore Roosevelt and Anna Lee (Stovall) Barnes. She enjoyed the outdoors and loved to watch the birds. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by her daughter, Michelle Ray; and her first husband, Glenn Carter. She is survived by her husband, Noah W. Carter; two daughters, Gwen Carter and her husband, Dean Ford, and Lisa Efird; six grandchildren, Tasha (Stephen) Holbrook, Brandon Ray, Levi (Anne) Ray, Jordan Carter, Jamie (Aaron) Thompson and Alex Efird; five great grandchildren, Gavin, Olivia, Hudson, Paris and Abigail; two sisters, Joyce Spond and June Rone; her son-in-law, Joseph "Buddy" Ray; and numerous nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law; and her brother-in-law. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Rev. Terry Graves officiating.
