Carlos Rivera Obituary

"Carlos M. Rivera, 67 years of age, passed away on April 16th, 2023 following a brief illness, his devoted wife ever by his side. Born September 27th, 1955 in Dorado, Puerto Rico, he was the second child of Jesus and Aurelia (Diaz) Rivera. The family migrated to Jersey City, New Jersey, eventually settling in Baltimore, Maryland. Following his graduation from Catonsville High School, Carlos enlisted in the U. S. Navy, traveling the world while serving our Country. Afterward he embarked on a 40 year career as an auto mechanic, first in Baltimore and then relocating to Bluff City,Tennessee. Carlos was a naturally gifted athlete, having played for his high school baseball team and in countless pick-up games of basketball and street ball in his youth. . A love of sports was reflected in his lifelong devotion to his beloved Baltimore Orioles, Maryland Terrapins and Baltimore Ravens. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Connie (Cornell) Rivera, a son, Nicholas Rivera (Allie), Bluff City, TN, a brother, Jesus "Jim" Rivera (Linda), Haverhill, MA and two sisters, Carmen Blake (Jim), Catonsville, MD and Jeannette Boles (Brad), Bluff City, TN. , a large, loving extended family and dear friends. He was predeceased by his parents.
