Olga M. Garcia was called home to be with the Lord on Friday November 24,2023. She was born April 19, 1945 in San Antonio, Texas to her parents Jesus Garcia and Consuelo Medina. She is now reunited in Heaven with her mother Consuelo and brother Beto. She is loved and will be greatly missed by her brother Alfredo. Her best friend Rosemary Arzola. Her Children Fernando, Rachel, Terry, Victoria, Federico Javier, Valerie, Federico Gage, and Julian - Grandchildren Olga, Emiliano, Richard, Christina, Jesse, Jessele, Jesslyn, Jeremy, Fortino, Keshad, Elektra, Aaron, Jared, Nathan, Makayla Rose, Avee, and Santana - Great Grandchildren Antonio, Marisa, Mariah, Camila, Aliyah, Richard, Rihanna, Serenity, Alexander, Julieus, Jessiah, Jayla, Valentine III, Victoria, Vaelynn, Akari, and Castiel. Her in laws Emilio Zapata, Richard Montez, Malicia Ojeda, Michelle Ojeda, Ben Tovar, and Valentine Hernandez Jr. will miss her the most. Olga was a very loving and caring mother and was always there when we needed her. She always sacrificed her needs for the good of her family. Olga was always supportive and encouraging, always wise and kind. Olga gave the best advice. She helped any and everyone in need. Olga loved to play loteria with her family during Sunday family days and she loved to play bingo with her friends during the week. She loved listening to music and dancing. Church was very important to her and she made sure to attend mass every Sunday morning at St. Cecilia's. Services will be held at Castillo Funeral Home on Tuesday December 5, 2023 between 4:00pm - 8:00pm, Rosary will be held at 6:00pm. Don't think of her as gone away, think of her as living in the hearts of those she touched. For nothing loved is ever lost and she was loved so very much.Show more

Janie Sandoval Quiroz, a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and sister, peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family on November 27th 2023 at the age of 63. Born on November 28, 1959, she was a free spirited individual known for her generous caring nature and beautiful soul. Janie's kind-heartedness extended to everyone she met. She had a welcoming spirit that made others feel at ease in her presence. Her nurturing nature led her to be deeply involved in the lives of her family. Janie took great joy in cooking for her loved ones and creating memorable moments full of love and laughter. Janie leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her parents, Isabel and Juanita Sandoval; brother George Sandoval; son Jesse Gonzales; granddaughter Raylina Arizola and grandson Angelray Garcia. As we remember the beautiful soul that Janie Sandoval Quiroz was, we also acknowledge the deep connections she had with others throughout her life. Among those mourning her loss are sons Raymond Arizola, Richard Arizola; daughter Jesica Martinez; daughter in law Jezavel Arizola; siblings Rosie Navarro, Martha Canfield, John Sandoval, Maria Lopez, Isabel Sandoval (Chio), Ricardo Sandoval (Rick), Walter Sandoval (TC), Jackie Smith, and Ruben Sandoval; grandchildren Ani Arizola, Ariel Arizola, Eden Arizola, Erin Martinez, Erica Martinez, Maria Martinez, Jesse Joe Gonzales, Annamarie Arizola, Marlanah Arizola, Serenity Arizola, and Samuel Arizola; great grandchildren Angelica Espinoza, Avery Vasquez, Alezander Reynosa, Rameses Lloyd, Jonathan Hercules Gonzalez, Nayah Cantu, Rayline Cantu, Alexander Settles, Andrew Settles, Adaliah Settles, and Raylina Gonzalez. Janie's impact on the lives of those around her will never be forgotten. Her loving nature will continue to inspire us all. Let us remember her with fondness and carry her loving spirit within our hearts. May she rest in eternal peace. On December 7, 2023, friends and family will gather to honor Janie's life during the visitation event held at Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels, 3520 S. Flores St. , San Antonio, TX 78204. The event will begin at 4:00 p. m. , a prayer service will be held at 6:30 p. m. and conclude at 7:30 p. m. The family will gather again at Puente & Sons on December 8, 2023 at 10:30 a. m. for a chapel service, and follow in procession to San Jose Burial Park for an 11:30 a. m. burial service. On November 17, 2023, "Grandma Ernie", while surrounded by family, passed away quietly in San Antonio, Texas after a long illness. Ernestine Herrera Juarez was born in Asherton, Texas on March 24, 1931. As her family grew, they moved onto San Antonio in 1941. Ernestine was a child of immigrants and worked odd jobs to help support the family, including annual trips to harvest apples in Sunnyside, Washington. Later on during the 1950's, she found decades of permanent employment in the financial service industry. Grandma Ernie liked to reminisce that she was probably one of the first Mexican American women hired by a local bank in San Antonio. Grandma Ernie was a devout Catholic. She attended Mass weekly and prayed the rosary every night. God blessed her with a long life and her faith in Him carried her to the end as she bravely waited her "turn to go home. " She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Teodulo Juarez; her parents, Santiago Herrera and Alfonsa Martinez; and siblings: Natividad Vasquez, Herman Herrera, and Evodio Herrera. Ernestine is survived by her two sons, Juan Juarez (Belinda) and Benito Juarez (Diana); grandchildren: Benito Juarez Jr. (Amy), Erik Juarez (Jennifer), Matthew Juarez (Monica), Dominique Juarez (William), and Marina Paredes (Dominic); siblings: Emma Garcia and Maria Elena Villarreal; 12 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. Her memory will live on in our hearts and she will be greatly missed by all. Many thanks to Heart of Texas Hospice staff for their devoted care and support during Ernestine's final months. They all deserve special recognition. The family will receive guests at the Sunset Northwest funeral home on December 4, 2023 at 6:00 p. m. for public visitation, with a rosary service beginning at 7:00 p. m. "Raynell Myree Wynn passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at the age of 59 after a courageous fight with cancer. Raynell was born on February 9, 1964 in San Antonio, Texas to Jensey Peterson Lund and Judith Ann Tatsch (Lund-McMillian). Raynell graduated from Winston Churchill high school in 1982 and Texas State University in May 1986 with a BBA in Marketing. Raynell started her career in June 1986 with HEB Grocery company in management training. She continued to work for HEB until her death, contributing 38 years to the company. Throughout her time with HEB she had major accomplishments. As a Unit Director, Raynell helped pioneer women's leadership within the company. In addition to being a dedicated Unit Director, Raynell was a part of the World's Greatest Operator's committee, she served as the United Way Ambassador for HEB. She was a Regional Merchant for the San Antonio Region, team leader for the region and most recently she was inducted into the HEB Hall of Fame. She was beloved by all those who worked with her. Raynell's love in life was her children, Brittany and Jacob, her dog Lambeau, her close friends, her HEB partners and her loyal customers. She was passionate about several things in life that include the Green Bay Packers, trips with her kids, NASCAR races, Aerosmith concerts, fast cars, pool days, sunshine, beaches, and Las Vegas with friends. Raynell had an infectious smile that warmed every room she stepped into and she will be greatly missed by all that loved her. Raynell is preceded in death by her parents, step father, maternal and paternal grandparents, \u0026amp; her sister. Raynell is survived by her children, Brittany Moses (Jack) and Jacob Wynn (Caitlyn), grandchildren, Brooks, McKinley and Collins; Brother, Joel Jr. McMillian; Ex-husband and family David, Shelly, Brooks and Brodie Wynn. Several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Raynell will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at 10:00 am at Concordia Lutheran Church, 16801 Huebner Road, San Antonio, Tx 78258.
