The Rev. Brian Taylor, pastor of St. Genevieve Catholic Church, will officiate at the services.Mrs. Lalonde was born on August 18, 1959 to the late Walter and Elia Frederick Taylor. She was a native and lifelong resident of Arnaudville having been a parishioner of St. Francis Regis Catholic Church. She was employed as a surgical tech with Our Lady of Lourdes for eleven years.Mrs. Lalonde, affectionately known as Maddie, had an infectious personality, was quick witted and had an incredibly loving heart. Spending time with family and friends, listening to music, dancing, camping and traveling brought her immense joy. She enjoyed long rides - in her younger years riding motorcycles and loved to pass a good time and drink a few. Lucien Richard, Jr., a loving father, grandfather, great-grand father, and brother, passed away on February 2, 2024, at his home in Arnaudville. He was surrounded by his family and loved ones during his final moments. Lucien was born on May 25, 1953, in Opelousas.Lucien's life will be celebrated through a series of services at the Sibille Funeral Home located at 2309 George Drive in Opelousas. The visitation will take place from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on February 5, 2024. A prayer service will follow at 2:30 pm. The funeral service will be held from 3:00 pm to 3:30 pm, and the burial will take place afterwards from 4:00 pm to 4:30 pm. in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Opelousas.Lucien brought joy and laughter to the lives of all who knew him. He had a passion for dancing and listening to music, especially his all-time favorite song "Tee Nah Nah." Lucien cherished spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating cherished memories that they will hold onto forever. In their younger years Mr. Donald and his loving wife, Mrs. Lillie spent much of their time traveling, partying, and making beautiful memories together. She always appreciated the simpler things in life, she had a child like demeanor and her sweet smile could truly light up any room. The songs will be I will Always Remember You My People, The Old Rugged Cross, One Bread, One Body, Ave Maria, and How Great Thou Art.Mr. Andrus was a native of Opelousas and resident of Arnaudville. He began his working career as a machinist, later deciding to attend barber school so that he could have more time with the children and their activities. He then worked alongside his father-in-law at Chautin’s Barber Shop and during that time, was a school bus driver with the St. Landry Parish School Board until his retirement in 2020.Mr. Andrus loved his second home – his camp in Toledo Bend, where he spent most of the last sixteen years making memories with his family. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his wife, children and grandchildren. He also loved to travel with a great set of friends. They would go on a Friends Annual Fishing Trip, and attended the Annual Shrimp Festival in Gulf Shores, many cruises, visiting Nashville and many more! He enjoyed Monday night suppers and card games with his male friends. He always had a smile, whistled a lot and was very generous. He also enjoyed conversations with all of his barber shop clients.Mr. Andrus was the best husband, dad, grandpa, brother, brother-in-law, son-in-law, uncle and Parain who will be greatly missed.Survivors include his wife of forty-four years, Vicki Chautin Andrus; three sons, Austin Blake Andrus (Brittany), Keevin Dale Andrus (Lauren), and Devin Tyler Andrus (Ravin); his grandchildren, Tailor Deshotel, Jacob Deshotel, Bailey Prudhomme, and Olivia, Annalise, Gabriel, Emorie, Madilynn and Fisher Andrus; two brothers, Warren Arnaud (Nancy) and Harland Arnaud (Jackie); one sister, Jackie Andrus Eames (Robert); and his mother-in-law, Peggy Arnaud Chautin.He was preceded in death by his daughter, Marcia Nichole Andrus; father, Walter C. Deacon David Menard will officiate at the services.Born on March 17, 1931, Wilton was a native and lifelong resident of Arnaudville. A veteran of the military, he proudly served his country in the United Stated Air Force during the Korean War. In 1983, he retired from McDermott as a fabricator with twenty years of employment where he was known as “Cap”. During his time in the oilfield, he worked in many countries, such as Germany, Indonesia, Arabia, Korea, Trinidad, and Singapore. In his later years, he enjoyed going to events with his daughter, Linda. He was a master of puzzles and dancing - two-step was his favorite.He is survived by his five children, Linda Gomez (Ricky), Steven Miller (Cathy), Edward Miller (Georgia), Shiela Massana (Archie III), and Rodney Miller. His grandchildren are Kay Dhanraj (Stephen), Ricky Gomez (Amy), Eric Miller, Jennifer Faulk (Adam), Nakita Beauclaire (Beaux), Nadia Massana, Archie Massana IV, and Danielle Schaffer. His great-grandchildren are Logan, Colin, Lily, Addie, Luke, and Gabriel. Wilton is also survived by many friends and family in Cajun Country.Wilton was preceded in death by his parents, Vaniola Dugas and Daniel Miller, both natives of Arnaudville. He was also the last living child, preceded in death by his siblings Wilfred Miller, Numa Miller, Roman Miller, Ella M. Lalonde, Leta M. Guidry, Orelia M. Simon, Nola M. Leblanc, Evelyn M. Arnaud, Wilma M. Richard, and Mable M. Trahan. Also, another that preceded his passing was his ex-wife and love of his life, Jeanne Ruth Miller.
