Mr. Carl M. Stelzriede of Greenville, IL, departed this life at his residence on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 1:45 P. M. He had attained the age of 73 years, 4 months and 16 days. Carl was born on April 23, 1950 in Centralia, IL the son of Oscar and Lois (Krietemeyer) Stelzriede. Carl worked as an engineer for the City of Greenville for many years. He was of the Catholic faith and a member of the Goshen Trail Black Powder Club. He loved his motorcycle and enjoyed collecting firearms and cycling. Left to mourn his passing is his nieces, nephews, other relation and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Arthur Stelzreide. Per the wishes of Carl and his family, cremation will be performed. There will be no public services. Should friends desire, memorials can be made to the Wheels Through Time Motorcycle Museum in Maggie Valley, NC and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home, who is assisting the family with arrangements. Mr. Gene Knolhoff of Hoyleton, IL departed this life in the Barnes/Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO on Friday, November 17, 2023, at 10:30 P. M. He had attained the age of 79 years, 4 months, and 22 days. Gene was born on June 25, 1944, in Centralia, IL the son of Elmer and Anita (Brinkmann) Knolhoff. He was united in marriage to Sondra Reves on June 20, 1964, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Nashville, IL and she survives his passing. Gene served in the United States Army Reserves and was a lifelong farmer. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in New Minden, IL, where he held several positions within the church. Gene was a trustee of the Hoyleton Rural Water Company and Hoyleton Township, and he was a past member of the New Minden Community Club. Gene's true passion was farming, and he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He had attained the age of 81 years, 1 month and 10 days. Jim was born on September 13, 1942, in DuQuoin, IL the son of Joshua and Irma (Evans) Sisney. He was united in marriage to Violet Engelman on June 27, 1976, and she survives his passing. Jim proudly served with the United States Marines. He worked as a Millwright in the power industry for many years. Jim was a member of the American Legion Post 110 and he enjoyed fishing. He was united in marriage to Mary Ann Kujawa on August 18, 1962 at St. Michael Church in Radom, IL and she survives his passing. John was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Posen, IL. He was a member of the Holy Name Society and Knights of Columbus. He was a dairy farmer and enjoyed gardening, playing cards, watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball and watching westerns. John made the best pickles. Mostly he enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and grand children. Lawrence Henry Luecking, 76, died Aug. 22, 2023 at his home in Nashville, Illinois, surrounded by his family. He was born Nov. 6, 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri. He grew up in Freeburg and graduated from Freeburg High School. Whether answering to Larry, Lonnie, Lonzo, Hugo or Bro, he was a loving husband, brother, dad, grandpa, uncle, cousin and friend. We were all blessed to have such a genuine and caring man in our lives. His laugh could be heard blocks away and his smile never faded. He held many jobs throughout his life including as a banker, loan officer and business owner. He found the most joy, however, doing his "retirement job," driving a school bus for the past 15 years. He most recently drove for First Student in DuQuoin and previously for Illinois Central, Carlyle School District and Carbondale School District. He loved going to work every day and transporting the children. When he wasn't working, Larry enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, shooting pool, bowling, canoeing, fishing and camping. Our world will never be the same without your presence, seeing your smile and hearing your laugh. Thank you, Larry, for always being there for all of us whenever and wherever we needed you. He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Rebecca; and his five children: John (Lyndelle) Luecking of Belleville, Michael (LeeAnn) Luecking of Mascoutah, Matthew (Ann) Luecking of Caseyville, Jamie (Wayne) Forsythe of Nixa, Missouri, and Cathy (Kyle) Starek of Columbia; and his bonus children: Angela (Brian) Franklin of Keyesport, Holly (Trevor) Parker of Belleville, Cindy (Kevin Papproth) Bales of Caseyville and Kyle (Adrian) Wallace of Fairview Heights. He will especially be missed by his adoring grandchildren: Colton Starek, Lucas Starek, Parker Luecking, Riley Luecking, Haiden Forsythe, Reece Luecking, Lauren Luecking, Caleb Luecking, Nate Luecking, Autumn Simons, Haleigh Franklin, Hayden Franklin, Luke Adams, Maddie Parker, Erin Parker, Aaliah Papproth, Alexiah Papproth, Logan Wallace and Zane Wallace. He was ecstatic about having another grandchild on the way. He is also survived by his siblings Lerinda (Don) Frost of Sterling Heights, Michigan, Lavonne (Gary) Lemler of Granite City and David (Kathleen Nelson) Luecking of Webster Groves, Missouri; nieces and nephews, numerous cousins, co-workers and friends, especially those he met at Hardee's in Nashville, which he adopted as his hometown. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Lydia Luecking, and his grandson Andrew Luecking. Annie Bauza peacefully departed this life at the age of 93, surrounded by her loving family at home, on August 16, 2023. Annie was born on April 12, 1930 in Washington County, IL, daughter of Steve and Katie (nee Brink) Liszewski. She married Dominic Bauza Jr. on May 2, 1953 at our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Posen, IL. Dominic preceded her in death on January 31, 2019. She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Nashville, IL and St. Francis of Assisi in St. Louis. Annie was a devoted homemaker and took pride in taking care of their four children. She loved polka music and dancing. Annie and Dominic frequently attended polka festivals in multiple states. She also enjoyed quilting, gardening, playing cards, games and spending time with family. She is survived by her children: Sharon Bauza, Janice (John) Oexeman, Diane (Dan) Perkins and Ronald (Betty) Bauza; Eight grandchildren: Tyson Gajewski, Gregory Perjak, Laura (Mark) O'Dell, Adam Perkins, Michael (Melissa) Oexeman, Andrea Perkins, Dr. Stephanie Oexeman (Dr. Adam Phillips), Lauren (David) Diehl and five great-grandchildren: Charlotte and Carter O'Dell, Rebekah and Sophia Williamson and Dominic Oexeman; her sisters: Regina Matecki, Helen Lamczyk, Dorothy Malawy and brother-in-law Gene Bogucki. She had attained the age of 73 years, 10 months and 24 days. Randy was born on September 14, 1949, in Indianola, IA the daughter of James and Wanda (Lucas) Crawford. She was united in marriage to Robert "Bob" Love on May 30, 1971, in Postville, IA and he survives her passing. Randy was a hairdresser for 54 years and owned and operated her own salon in Nashville. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Nashville and was also active with the St. Ann Catholic Church in Nashville. Randy took great pride in building her Christmas Village every year and enjoyed having an open house for her family and customers to see. Her true passion was cycling and was a member of many cycling clubs.
