Carl E Libengood, Jr , age 85, of Mars, died Thursday morning, October 5, 2023, in the comfort of his home Born in Aspinwall, PA on December 20, 1937, he was the son of the late Carl E and Hannah White Libengood, Sr A truck driver, Carl was an owner/operator working for Moore-Fletcher Trucking in Zelienople He attended St John Lutheran Church in Mars and had served in the United States Army during peacetime He was a member of the Mars Sundae Cruisers and was especially fond of dessert, often eating it before dinner Surviving are his wife, Nancy L Smith Libengood, who he married on June 2, 1958, his son, Carl Libengood, III (Paul Irvine) of Oakmont, his daughter, Lee Ann Clutter (John) of Valencia, his grandson, Colin Clutter and a sister, Morna Lee Hoy (Ray) of Indianola He was preceded in death by by two sisters, Nancy Ann Greco and Rebecca Jane Lesar Friends are invited to a Service at Pinewood Memorial Park Mausoleum, Rt 19, Cranberry Twp , PA 16066 on Monday, October 9, 2023 at 11:00 AM Please meet at the cemetery Arrangements are under the direction of the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc 238 Crowe Ave Mars, PA 16046 and condolences are available at www mcdonald-aeberli com Memorials may be made to the Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Rd Renfrew, PA 16053

Loretta Ann Wagner Ranalli, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children and grandchildren on Wednesday afternoon, November 22, 2023. Loretta, from Gibsonia, was 95 years young. Beloved wife of the late Marco Ranalli. Mother of Cheryl (Ed) Colvin of Gibsonia, Christine Arnold of Bradenton, FL, Victoria (Don) Rosenberger of Gibsonia and Marc (Eileen) Ranalli of Gibsonia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marco, her sister, Eileen Potter and her sons-in-law, Bud Colvin and Byron Arnold. She was blessed with eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. As a young mother, she attended beauty school in Pittsburgh. After graduating, she opened Loretta's Beauty Shop in her home where she spent many years working but still able to be home for her kids. She also was a rep for Sarah Coventry Jewelry going into homes with her jewelry case. She was a girl scout leader, a founding member of St. Richard's Catholic Church where she was involved with Christian Mothers as well as being a Eucharistic Minister. When Loretta became involved in a project, she was "all in". She painted and collected dolls and had a room dedicated to just dolls. She also loved her poodles. For a few years, she bred and sold puppies. She hand made many beautiful quilts for her family as well as hand painted pictures. She loved gardening and was talented in flower arranging. Loretta and Marc were married 65 years. They enjoyed dressing up every Saturday night to go dancing with their many friends. Every winter after they retired, they traveled in their motor home to Arizona with friends or to Myrtle Beach. After they sold their home in Gibsonia, which was on the same property as Ranalli's Drive-In, they moved to Rock Lake in Zelienople, where they became close friends with other retirees. Loretta loved purple and always said "Dress me in purple for my funeral and tell everyone to wear purple". On October 29th, 2023, hours of the afternoon, Deborah "Debbie" Lynn Pettigrew of Mars, passed away at the age of 73. Her journey began in Dubois, PA, where she was nurtured by her loving parents, James and Margaret Carmella. In 1971, she married William Pettigrew Jr. , realizing her dream of becoming a mother. Melissa, Jeff, Molly, and Matt were the center of her universe, and she embraced the role of a loving and dedicated mother. Though she worked as a teacher and speech therapist, her unwavering faith in God and devotion to her family took precedence. Whenever someone needed a prayer, Debbie was always the first person they called Debbie loved spending time on family vacations with her husband, children, and grandchildren. She never failed to send heartfelt cards on birthdays and anniversaries, making everyone feel always feel special and loved Her deep interest in naturopathic health and wellness showcased her intelligence, but her greatest passion was her faith. Throughout her life, she actively engaged in numerous Bible studies with lifelong friends She leaves behind her 97-year-old mother, Margaret Carmella, and her devoted husband of 52 years, Dr. William Pettigrew of Mars, PA. Surviving her are her first-born daughter, Melissa her husband David Rhen and their children Ella and Landon of Camp Hill, PA. Her son, Jeffrey his wife Katie Pettigrew and their children Izabella, Aubrey, and Elisabeth reside in Mars, PA. Daughter Molly her husband Brian Pierct and their children Carmella and Colestock call Myrtle Beach, SC, home. Her son, Matthew his wife Laura Pettigrew , and their son James who reside in Camp Hill Additionally, she is survived by her older sister, Cathy Chambers, and two younger brothers, James Carmella and Brad Carmella and their families She was a wonderful daughter, wife, sister, mother, cousin and a friend and will be greatly missed by all. Howard E. Rhodes, age 81, of Mars, formerly of Beaver Falls, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, October 24, 2023 in the comfort of his home. Born in Beaver Falls, PA on January 6, 1942, he was the son of the late Ralph E. and Vesta I. Kelly Rhodes. Howard was a computer technician for the U. S. Postal Service at the Bulk Mail Center in Warrendale. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War and was a Life Member of Mars V. F. W. Post 7505, the Zelienople American Legion Post 474 and the Harmony Loyal Order of the Moose Post 957. Howard enjoyed golfing and loved drinking wine and visiting wineries. Surviving are his wife, Deborah C. Rhodes, who he married on April 18, 1998, two sons, Howard E. Rhodes, Jr. of Darlington and Joseph W. Rhodes (Tammy) of New Brighton, Two step-daughters, Alisa Holden (Todd) of Port Mathilda and Allison Brudney-Walker (Robert) of Wayne, Ill. , a step-son, Joshua Brudney (Jennifer) of Valencia, his grandchildren, Sarah Cook (Mark), Alexis Rhodes, Annie Houtz (Josh), Graceann Brudney, Dylan Seaman, J. B. Holden, Ben Brudney and Cody Rhodes and his great granddaughters, Breann, Hannah and Kaity Cook. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lori A. Rhodes Seaman, who died on March 16, 2018. Gloria Mae (Crowell) Saddoris at age 92 moved to her Eternal Home on October 11, 2023. Gloria was born April 30, 1931, to Elmer and Opal Crowell in Cleveland, Oklahoma. She married Marvin L. Saddoris, Jr. in 1950 also from Cleveland. Their early years were spent in Bartlesville, Oklahoma and Camdenton, Missouri. Together they adopted three children, David Wayne, James Bradley, and Tina Michelle. Gloria approached her roles of wife, mom, and homemaker with such love and perfection. As the family moved with Marvin's work, Gloria got the family established in churches, made friends, and planted many gardens in Missouri, Arkansas, and Kansas. The family settled in Clinton, Missouri where later, she and Marvin enjoyed having their farm. Gloria had both vegetable and beautiful flower gardens that were a perfect spot to host her garden club. She cared for chickens, cows and her beloved dogs. While loving all animals, she had a special love for her German Shepherds. Gloria was actively a part of her church from a very young age. She taught Sunday school, VBS, sang in the choir, did visitations, and compiled the Clinton Methodist Church history. As her father was - she was an artist. From paintings, setting a special table, to even her handwriting, she saw and made things beautiful. Gloria also enjoyed playing the piano and singing. She even got the whole family all out singing Christmas carols to the neighbors. Gloria made a move to Pennsylvania in 2021 to live with her daughter. Her encouraging notes that she sent to family and friends would typically include her expression of, "Wow!" She loved to see the beauty of this region and never ceased to praise God for His creation. Proceeded in death by her parents, Elmer and Opal Crowell, her husband Marvin L. Saddoris, Jr. , oldest son, David Wayne, brothers, Don and Bailey "Pete" Crowell, and grandson, David Allen. Survived by son, James Bradley (Sue) Saddoris, daughter, Tina Michelle Swanson (John), granddaughter, Laura Mae Riland (Mike), grandsons, Joshua David Swanson (Tirzah), Jeffrey David Swanson (Addie), Josiah David Swanson, ten great grandchildren, a niece and nephews, and many who knew and loved her.
