Bunny McKenna (nee Hadden) of Haverford, PA, died peacefully at home after a short illness on March 28, 2019. Born September 4, 1931 in Germantown to Dr. Samuel H. and Alice O'Horo Hadden, Bunny attended Raven Hill and graduated Ceciilian Academy, class of 1949. Bunny's secretarial career included Fort Monmouth, St. Joseph's College, Lower Merion Baptist Church, and she retired as Secretary to the Publisher of the Philadelphia Bulletin when it closed in 1981. In retirement Bunny was very active in St. Margaret's Church, Narberth, where she volunteered, supported its charitable work and served as Eucharistic Minister. Bunny was married to Dr. Ernest L. McKenna and to Kevin M. McCrane, both of whom predecease her, as did her beloved brother, Dr. Michael J. Hadden. Bunny is survived by her brother Samuel Hadden of Arizona, a daughter, Colleen M. Shoemaker, son-in-law Joseph H. (Jay) Shoemaker of Portland, Oregon, grandsons Andrew M. and Charles H. Shoemaker, and many beloved nephews, nieces and dear friends. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Sunday, May 19, 2019 at 1:30 P.M. at St. Margaret's Church, 212 N. Narberth Ave, Narberth, Pa 19072. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers Bunny and her family will appreciate a gift in her name to St.Margaret's Church or the ASPCA, both dear to her.
