Bryan Webb Sr Obituary

Bryan Wilson Webb Sr. , age 98, of Trussville, died on April 21, 2023. A native of Lafayette (Chambers County) Alabama, he was the son of the late William Bonner and Clara Matthews Webb. He served in the U. S. Army Medical Administrative Corp from September 1943 until January 1946 in Milne Bay, New Guinea and Leyte, Philippine Island and was a Staff Sergeant at the time of discharge. At Alabama Polytechnic Institute (Auburn), he earned a BS degree in Business Administration in 1949 and was a member of Delta Sigma Pi honor society. His employment in Birmingham included Hayes Aircraft, UAB, and Stoelker Equipment Company, from which he retired in 1995 after 25 years of service. As a member of Five Mile Presbyterian Church, he served as deacon, elder, trustee, and treasurer. Preceding him in death was his wife, Madeline Ward Webb, his parents, two sisters, and five brothers. He is survived by his daughter, Elaine Bromley and her husband David, of Moody and his son, Bryan Jr. and wife Kathy, of Trussville; two step- granddaughters, Carrie Bromley (Kevin Sparks) and Libby Bochan (Matthew); several nieces, nephews, and many friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Ridout's Trussville Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm on April 25 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville. Flowers are acceptable and contributions may be made to Wounded Warriors or The Birmingham Humane Society.
