Bryan Michael VanDeweghe, 49 of Gainesville, GA passed away Thursday, November 24, 2022. He was born on July 25, 1973 in Howell, Michigan to Michael and Maryjane VanDeweghe. Bryan was married to Tara VanDeweghe. Bryan was a loving and dedicated husband and father who loved the Lord. He enjoyed boating, nature, animals, classic cars, biking and football. He loved spending time with his wife hiking, boating, doing home projects and spending time with their boys and their animals. He had an incredible sense of humor that brightened the days of all who knew him. Bryan was proud to have served his country as a decorated veteran of the United States Air Force. He gave four years of active-duty service from November 1992 until November 1996 during our nation's Cold War for which he was awarded The Air Force Achievement Medal. Bryan was a skilled contractor and the owner of a successful remodeling Company in Gainesville, GA. He had a gift for remodeling houses, turning them into beautiful like brand-new homes. He always used his talents to help those that needed assistance with repairs or issues. Every person that Bryan met was touched by his generosity and caring heart. Bryan is survived by his wife, Tara of Georgia, parents, Michael and Maryjane VanDeweghe of Nevada; son, Blake VanDeweghe of Michigan; stepsons, Chase and Chancellor Parker of Georgia; stepdaughter Brittini Vertz of South Carolina; brother, Todd Mastej (Buss) of Michigan; sisters, Renee Jelley (Dennis) of Michigan and Karen Isham (Randy) of Washington; father and mother-in-law, Joseph and Eleanor Holmes of Florida; and a host of other loving relatives and friends. A memorial gathering will take place on Saturday January 14, 2023 from 1:00 PM until time of memorial service 3:00 PM with Pastor Tom Huff officiating at Watkins Brothers Funeral Home MacDonald's Chapel located at 315 N.
