Bruce John Ridley, 77, passed away October 6, 2023 He was born on November 15, 1945, in St Paul, Minnesota to John Ridley and Regina (Klosek) Ridley Bruce married the love of his life, Dorothee Ridley, on July 14, 1976, in Holy Spirit Catholic Church Bruce will be remembered as an avid U of M fan Holding season tickets to both U of M football and hockey Bruce had a variety of interests including fly fishing, water skiing, sports cars, Bridge, and cooking or grilling for his friends and family Above all, Bruce cherished his faith and was a devout Catholic He was a member at St Patrick Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Council No 7304 Bruce was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and church community His Family. . . McCann, Stuart Pinckney, MI His Legacy. . . Stuart Ferguson McCann, 78, passed away November 29, 2023. He was born on December 12, 1944, in Dagenham, England to Stuart McCann and Harriet (Livingstone) McCann. Stu married the love of his life, Bonnie Miner, on December 28, 1980, in Southfield, Michigan. Stu owned his own company, Molders Services, from 1982, until his retirement in 2010. He was a world traveler, taking trips to Australia, New Zealand, Africa, China, Egypt, and many more places with his wife, Bonnie. Stu also liked a good road trip and traveled all over the United States. He was a Civil War buff, an avid reader, and a great storyteller. Stu liked to garden, keep his lawn looking nice, and he enjoyed taking his pontoon boat around the lake. He loved a good healthy debate. Stu was well loved by family and friends and will be deeply missed. His Family. . . Stu is survived by his wife, Bonnie McCann; his daughter, Carrie (Joseph) Fontoura; siblings, Eric McCann, Linda Mullane, Rena Murphy, Barbara McCann; grandson, Felix Kauffman; and many nieces and nephews. Jared Evan McCarron, 19, passed away November 25, 2023. He was born on September 19, 2004, in Commerce Township to Kevin McCarron and Pamela (Little) McCarron. Jared was a great kid who always worked hard and loved tools and anything with a motor from the time he was little. He had a vast love and knowledge for vehicles and could talk for hours about them with anyone who wanted to listen or learn from him. He mowed lawns and power washed houses in his neighborhood from an early age. He was a saver, but would spend a little on things he loved like dirt-bikes, his truck and tools. Jared had a soft smile and a quiet way about him. He was easy going, generous and always willing to help out. We are eternally grateful and blessed for the short time we were given with him. Jared will forever be loved and missed by all who knew him. Trowbridge, Steven Brighton, MI His Legacy. . . Steven David Trowbridge, 66, passed peacefully away in his home surrounded by loved ones, November 23, 2023. He was born on March 27, 1957, in Highland Park, Michigan to Arthur and Cynthia Trowbridge. Steve married the love of his life, Loretta, on July 31, 1982, in Central Lake, Michigan. Steve and his lifelong friend and business partner of 40 years, Mike Jusino, owned and operated a building maintenance company. Steve was a very hard worker and took great care of his family. He loved to travel with his wife, Loretta, going to Florida, taking cruises, and squeezing in as many sporting events as possible. Steve loved to sail, it was one of his greatest passions. He was an avid reader, always in the pursuit of knowledge. Steve enjoyed going to concerts and was always listening to music. He loved the Lord and served his church faithfully. Steve adored his grandchildren, he often took them to many events and loved spending time with them. Steve was deeply loved by his family and will be greatly missed. His Family. . . Harvey, Jr. , Douglas Whitmore Lake, MI His Legacy. . . Douglas Joseph Harvey Jr. , 91, passed away November 22, 2023. He was born on February 15, 1932, in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Douglas J. Harvey Sr. and Violet (Link) Harvey. Doug married the love of his life, Margaret Radtke, on January 17, 1951, in Whitmore Lake, Michigan. Doug graduated from Ann Arbor High School and then went on to proudly serve his country in the U. S. Navy. Doug wore many different hats over the years. He was an entrepreneur, he owned "Harvey's Bar" in Saline, Michigan, Able Testing Company, and Deep Valley Produce. Doug was the Washtenaw County Sherriff from 1964-1972, he was the youngest Sherriff to be sworn in for the State of Michigan. He also drove for Getaway Bus Lines and was a substitute bus Driver in Dexter, Michigan. Doug was a proud member of the Ann Arbor American Legion Post #46 for 45 years. He was incredibly patriotic and worked to have a flag pole put in at Veteran's Memorial Park in Ann Arbor. Doug was a die-hard U of M fan. He was louder than life and adored his family. Doug was deeply loved by his family and will be greatly missed. Go Blue!! His Family. . . Romalia, Robert Brighton, MI His Legacy. . . Robert Joseph Romalia, 87, passed away November 11, 2023. He was born on March 11, 1936, in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin to August Romalia and Jean (Bartoli) Romalia. He grew up in Marblehead, Wisconsin, and graduated from Marquette University in 1958. After college, Bob was drafted into the army and served in Korea until 1962 when he was honorably discharged. Bob met and married MaryAnn in 1966. Bob and MaryAnn loved to joke and tease each other, and Bob could never get enough of her cooking, especially her "monies" pasta and meatballs. They lived in Minnesota until December of 1986 when Bob took a job at Alexander Hamilton Life Insurance and the family moved to Brighton, Michigan. Bob enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers play every Sunday with his family. Despite moving to Michigan, they all remain devoted Cheeseheads. He also loved to garden and passed this love on to his sons, both of whom hope to one day have a garden as big as their dad's. Bob retired from Jackson National Insurance in 2000. In retirement he enjoyed golfing, especially with Brad; bowling; and spending time with his family. He was also a longtime active member of the Knights of Columbus. In 2008, Bob welcomed Debra into the family (despite the fact she was a Lions fan). Bob and Debra enjoyed a playful relationship, especially during Thanksgiving football games. In 2012, Bob was blessed with a granddaughter who from the moment he met her held a special place in his heart. Bob loved reading to Grace when she was younger and as she got older, they could often be found gardening together. Bob was adored by his family and will be deeply missed. His Family. . . She was born on August 12, 1930, in Ann Arbor, Michigan to George Kenny and Marion (McDonald) Kenny. Dorene married the love of her life, Robert Bauer, on May 6, 1950, in Dexter, Michigan. Dorene had a sweet, thoughtful and caring personality. She enjoyed traveling with her husband to many places, including Hawaii and Scotland. Dorene was an avid walker and collected owls and Royal Doulton figurines. She adored her grandchildren and always attended their events and kept photo albums of all of their outings. Her family loved her cranberry salad or as her grandchildren called it "pink stuff". Dorene was a wonderful caretaker to her loved ones. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Her Family. . .
