Bruce Anderson, 67 years young of Yakima, Washington, went to his heavenly home unexpectedly, on April 20, 2023. He was a great man who will be missed deeply. Dad was born on January 22, 1956, to Grant and Marilyn Anderson, in Yakima, Washington. He grew up in the Wiley Heights community, later graduating from Naches High School, in 1974. On April 8, 1981, Dad gave his younger brother, Larry, the gift of life through the donation of a kidney. His selfless gift has continued to have a ripple effect for decades. This was a true testament to his faith in the Lord and his love for family. Larry continues to thrive with a part of dad still with him. In 1985, Dad met and married Sara Walker. They went on to have three children, Laura, Auna. and Andrew. Dad always put Jesus and family first, he instilled this in his children. He spent years serving the Lord through playing his 12-string guitar on the worship team and ushering in his church. He spent a career in custodial work working for the state in a variety of capacities. In 2013, dad retired after significant health issues arose. Dad is preceded in death by his loving grandparents, George and Agnes, and Otto and Agnes, his parents, Grant Anderson and Marilyn (Anderson) Klineman. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Sara Anderson, stepmom, Jackie Anderson, children, Laura (Nate) Button, Auna (Michael) Kilby, and Andrew Anderson, siblings, Donna (Rick) Lawson, and Larry (Karla) Anderson, grandchildren, Wyatt, Clayton and Allison Button, Ezekiel, Elijah, and Eliana Kilby, and Ella and Ava Anderson, and many loved nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life is being planned for this summer. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made payable to The National Kidney Association, an organization dad felt strongly about, and sent in care of Brookside Funeral Home (P. O. Box 1267, Moxee, WA 98936), who is caring for the family. Memories and condolences may be shared at www. brooksidefuneral. com.
