Brooks Allen Long, age 59, of Savannah, passed away from pancreatic cancer on April 19, 2022 at 7:07 pm. She was born August 14, 1962 at 12:02 pm, in Evanston IL, the daughter of Dr. Chester C. and Jean Ayres Long. Brooks graduated high school from Chrysalis Learning Community in Chicago, IL. In the early 80's, she moved to Helena, MT, where her big heart and concern for others led her into a career as a Patient's Rights Advocate. Her life's journey then brought her to Savannah, GA in the early 2000's, where she enjoyed the culture and sunshine. Brooks was a huge animal lover. Horses were her favorite, and she was a gifted rider. She was very creative and quite talented. She enjoyed working with stained glass, water colors, pencil drawings, dancing, and costume design. Brooks is preceded by both of her parents and her loyal Service Dog, Brock. A service of celebration and remembrance will be held at 4 PM on Friday, June 24, 2022 at Fox & Weeks Chapel located at 7200 Hodgson Memorial Drive.
