Brenda Faye Kean of Mineral Point, Missouri, was born on November 10, 1960 in St Ann, Missouri, a daughter of the late Elvis and Ruby (Pyatt) Warren. Brenda went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 6, 2023, having reached the age of 62. Those who remain to cherish her memory include her husband of 40 years, Wesley Kean; daughter, Jessica Henderson (husband, Joey); grandchildren: Blake Haynes, Alyah Haynes; siblings: Connie Sabastian, Steve Warren (wife, Ursula); sisters-in-law: Nancy Zettler (husband, Joe), Debbie McMahan (husband, Vernon), Brandy Jones (husband, Lance); brothers-in-law, Lloyd Kean (wife, Michelle), Harry Wampler; and close friend for 50 years, Alina Thornberg (husband, Doug). Brenda is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her siblings: Sheila Warren, Joyce Wampler, Dana Perkins; grandparents: Robert and Sarah Warren, and James and Rose Pyatt. Brenda loved the Lord very much, and was a member of Bismark Assembly of God. Her family used to have a gospel group, the Warren Family, where she played the drums. Brenda was a nurse's aide and loved taking care of the elderly for around 40 years. She was also a loving and caring mother. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, camping, swimming, attending church, and being with friends and family. She is going to be missed by all that knew her. Visitation will be Monday, October 9, 2023, from 11 am until the time of her service at 1pm, held at DeClue Funeral Home, 301 E High St, Potosi, MO 63664. Pastor Mike Barton Jr will officiate her service. Interment and final prayers will be held in the New Diggins Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made directly to DeClue Funeral Home in care of her service. DeClue Funeral Home was honored to have served the family of Mrs. Brenda Kean.

Carol Ann Woods on Hillsboro, Missouri, was born on October 12, 1954 in Hillsboro, Missouri, a daughter of the late Gene "Pete" Woods and Shirley Ann (Gough) Davis. Carol passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, having reached the age of 69. Those who remain to cherish her memory include her son, Scott Gipson (Wife, Kimberly); grandchildren: Matthew Gipson (wife, Caitlyn), and Brandon Gipson (wife, Emily); great-grandchildren: Lily, Violet, Lauren, Addey, Harper, and Ella; siblings: Vicki Gipson (husband, David), Debbie Woods, Judy Scott, Rev. Matt Woods (wife, Michelle), Stacey Woods, and Denise Woods. Carol also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. Carol was preceded in death by her father, Gene "Pete" Woods and stepmother, Mary Lou Woods; mother, Shirley Davis; siblings: Steven Woods, Dennis "Woody" Woods, and Tracy Woods. Carol loved her family, especially her grandbabies--they were her world. Carol loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and prior to her illness, she attended Hopewell Church of God in past years. She thoroughly enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading her Bible, and watching Jimmy Swaggart Ministries. Patsy Darlene Dane of St. Louis, Missouri, was born on January 2, 1945 in Potosi, Missouri, a daughter of the late Dewey Jenkins and the late Dorothy (Allen) Jenkins. Patsy was a selfless person who was the most generous individual and loved taking care of family and friends. She loved Jesus and reading her Bible. In her early years, Patsy attended Morris Mill Baptist Church and then later attended First Baptist Church of Arnold. Patsy loved spending time with her son and grandson. She adored them and they were her world. Patsy was known to be a classy lady. She always made sure she was pristine before going out and always wanted to look nice. Patsy was a beautiful person and her beauty radiated from the inside out. Patsy passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Mercy Hospital South, having reached the age of 78 years, 10 months and 14 days. Her legacy will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her including her son and daughter-in-law: Jimmy and Stephanie Dane; grandson, Bryce Dane; siblings: Jerry Jenkins, Joseph Jenkins and wife Diann, George Jenkins, Pamela Timmerman and husband Alan, Mary Catherine Brown and husband Raymond, Geraldine Allen and husband William, and Marcia Myers; also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. In addition to Patsy's father and mother, she was preceded in death by her two 4siblings: Orville Jenkins and Bernell (Jenkins) Glassey. Rosa Jane Tyler, also lovingly known to family and friends as "Rose", of Potosi, was born on December 15, 1947 in Potosi, Missouri, a daughter of the late Lloyd and Goldie (Lamar) Benson. Rose passed away on November 13, 2023, having reached the age of 75. Those who remain to cherish her memory include husband of 57 years, Walter Tyler; children: Veronica Henry, Gary Tyler, and Tracy Cisco; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; siblings: Olan Benson, Ervin Benson (wife, Claire), Lonnie Benson, Charles Benson (wife, Sandy), and Lee Benson (wife, Tracy). Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her son, Darrin Tyler; siblings: Verlin Benson, Virginia Boyer, Gene Benson, Billy Benson, Infant Tiny Benson, and infant twins. Rose was dynamite in a small package. She had a big personality--she was funny, but also a prankster. She loved doing present wars--wrapping them in duct tape and in larger boxes where it was difficult to open. On the flip side, she loved being a caregiver to family members, being the mother hen of them all--she was big hearted. She used to enjoy knitting, crocheting, and family camping trips. Jacob Roy Strange of Potosi, Missouri, was born on May 7, 2003, a son to Robert Dwayne Strange and Karen Ann (Valley) Strange. Jacob departed this life on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at his home at the age of 20. Jacob was a kindhearted young man that lived his life full of zeal. He had a lot of energy and was enthusiastic. Jacob was a graduate of Potosi High School, class of 2021. He attended Potosi First Assembly of God along with his family. Jacob was a cowboy and found so much joy in going to rodeos and bull riding. He always loved getting dressed up and wearing his boots and his cowboy hat. Jacob also enjoyed going boating, deer hunting, hanging out with his friends, working on trucks, and was especially proud of his lifted truck. Jacob was not one to sit around. He always kept busy doing something and was a hard worker. Jacob will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him. Those who remain to forever treasure his memory include his dad and mom, Robert and Karen Strange; maternal grandmother, Louise Valley; aunts and uncles: Aaron Valley (wife, Violet), James Valley, Dana Vander Kooi (husband, Jeffrey); many cousins, great aunts, great uncles, extended family and many wonderful friends. Jacob was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Charles and Mary Strange and maternal grandfather, Mack Valley; great grandparents: Roy and Hallie Strange and Elmer and Goldie Mosier; and special great uncle and great aunt, Frank and Lohma Trokey; as well as many other relatives. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 13, 2023 from 5 to 8 pm at DeClue Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Tuesday morning from 9 am until the time of his Funeral Service at 11 am, held in the DeClue Memorial Chapel. Pastors Gary Greenlee and Lloyd Pierce will be officiating Jacob's service. Interment and final prayers will be held at Redbud Memorial Gardens. Gary William Toombs, a loving husband, dad, and grandpa, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at the age of 77. Gary was born on August 17, 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri, a son of the late Robert Bland Toombs and the late Geraldine Janis (Zinn) Toombs. On December 26, 1965, Gary married the love of his life, Elaine Counts. They were high school sweethearts and shared fifty-seven wonderful years together. Gary is survived by his wife, Elaine Toombs; two sons: Rodney Toombs (wife, Micah) and Russell "Russ" Toombs (wife, Nancy); five grandchildren: Michael Toombs, Jack Toombs (wife, Amanda), Jennifer Toombs Peirce (husband, Thomas), Josie Toombs Harris (husband, Michael), and Andrew Toombs and friend Lindsay Picha; six grandchildren: Miles, Riley, Lucas, Jace, Lilyanna, and Isaiah; four siblings: David Toombs (wife, Sandy), Diane Kimes, Steve Toombs, and Stanley Toombs (wife, Mickie). Gary also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. In addition to his father and mother, Gary was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Patton. Gary became a Christian when he was 13 years old while attending Bible school. He served the Lord working in both Potosi Southern Baptist Church and Grassy Hollow Baptist Church starting and RA Program for boys in both churches. Gary absolutely loved teaching them about the Lord and God's word while having fun taking them camping, hiking and doing outdoors activities. Gary served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968. Gary was a member of the American Legion, Post 265 of Potosi. After returning from the service in 1968, Gary went to work for Chrysler and retired after 30 years in the auto industry. After retirement, Gary and his best friend, Russell Breakfield, started doing odd jobs and worked together for several years. In later years, Gary completed odd jobs with his dear friend, Dave Gettinger. Gary was a talented wood worker and hand crafted several pieces of furniture. He was an outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing. He was not one to sit inside his house. Gary's sons and grandchildren always thought he could fix anything. He was truly a blessing to his family and they will treasure every memory they have until the day they are reunited with him in Heaven. A time of visitation will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023 from 9 am until the time of his Funeral Service at 11 am held at DeClue Funeral Home. Interment and final prayers will follow at Grassy Hollow Cemetery with Military Honors presented by the United States Army.
