"Sharon (Wilson) Dotson, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at her residence surrounded by two loving daughters. Sharon was born on March 24, in Anderson, Indiana and resided most of her life in Anderson and later she resided in Indianapolis. Sharon graduated from Anderson High School, attended Indiana University, graduated Ball State Teachers College and received her Masters Degree from Ball State University. She taught in the Anderson Community Schools for several years and later became a substitute teacher teaching for several more years. She was a former member of the First United Methodist Church. Sharon was a faithful volunteer at Ascension St. Vincent Anderson and also served on their Victoria Guild Board of Directors. She was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority, Tri Kappa Sorority, served on the Board of Directors of the Anderson Symphony Orchestra and the Isabel Harter House. She was a member of the Stephen\u0027s Ministry at St Luke\u0027s United Methodist Church of Indianapolis and a member of the Bible Study Fellowship of Anderson. Sharon loved all types of music, playing the piano, golfing and being with her family and friends. Sharon is survived by her two loving daughters, Lori (Michael) Desautels of Indianapolis, IN and Lisa (Richard) Hall of Nashville, IN. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Paige Hall, Sam (Laura) Hall, Spencer (Stacey) Hall, Andrew Desautels, Sarah (Matt) Dorsey and Regan Desautels (Alexis) Cruz; her great-grandchildren; Avery Hall, Brooks Hall, Payton Hall, Paisley Hall, and Miles Desautels Dorsey; a niece, Pam Wilson Migdal and a nephew Dean Wilson. Also, Sharon enjoyed a loving friendship and partnership with her dear companion, Robert \u0026quot;Bob\u0026quot; Hackler. She was preceded in death by loving husband of 54 years, Hugh Delano Dotson who passed away February 27, 2014, her parents Thelma (Davis) and Donald Wilson, her brother Gene Wilson and her sister Marilyn Wilson. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church, 1215 Jackson St, Anderson, IN. Services will follow the visitation at 2:00 PM also at First United Methodist Church, on Friday, December 8, 2023, with Terri Coe officiating. Cremation will follow and private committal service will take in the The Gardens at Willowcrest Park, Anderson. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, Anderson Symphony Orchestra, Victoria Guild at Ascension St Vincent Anderson, and Anderson Children\u0027s Clinic.
