Brandon Keith Sprague born February 19, 1998, age 25, went home to be with the Lord Jesus peacefully with family by his side on September 5, 2023 at OSU Medical Center after losing his 2-year battle of heart failure. He was a loving son, brother, and friend to everyone. He was very creative and could make and build anything. He loved anything outdoors fishing, hiking, skateboarding, and riding BMX bikes. He loved working on his car and helping his friends with their cars. His favorite holiday was the Fourth of July and he loved lighting off fireworks for everyone's enjoyment. He found great satisfaction in helping others. He will be deeply missed. He is survived by his father Keith Sprague, sisters Lacey (Zach) Thoman, Haley (Tim) Culbertson, nieces, Avery Thoman, Payton Culbertson, Harper Culbertson; nephews, Maddox Thoman and Grayson Culbertson; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Donald Sprague, grandmother, Janis Sprague, mother, Lori Sprague, and grandfather Gerald Klusty. Caring Cremation has taken place through the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home. A a graveside celebration of his life will take place at 1:30 PM on Friday, September 29th, at Maple Grove Cemetery in Lancaster, OH. Raymond G. "Jerry" Colopy, 84, of Lancaster, Ohio passed away surrounded by his family at Mt. Carmel East on December 5, 2023. Jerry was born in Lancaster, Ohio on November 21, 1939 to the late Clarence and Bernardine Colopy. He graduated from St. Mary High School in 1958 and attended John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio, where he met the love of his life, Kathleen Coleman. He was a member of the National Guard, worked at Gaffney Motor Freight and then purchased Colopy Mayflower Moving & Storage in 1971. He was a founding member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, a member of St. Mary choir for 25 years, a Knights of Columbus member, coached biddy basketball, and a volunteer for the Red Cross. Jerry is survived by his wife, Kathleen, of 61 years, his children Maureen (Mark) Secrist, Katie (Mike) Naveau, Eileen (Jeff) Christoffers, Steve (Tara) Colopy and Elizabeth (Brian) Moore along with fourteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, his brother Thomas (JoAnn) and sister Ellen Marie Colopy. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Margaret-Mary "Meg" Seipel, infant-daughter, Ann Colopy, brother, Richard "Dick" Colopy, and parents Clarence and Bernardine Colopy. Mass of Christian burial will take place on Saturday, December 9 at 10:00 am at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, Lancaster. Interment will be at St. Mary Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be Friday, December 8 from 3pm to 7pm, at Sheridan Funeral Home, 222 S. Columbus St. , Lancaster, Ohio, a vigil will follow at 7pm. James C. Winnenberg, 67, of New Lexington passed away on Saturday December 2, 2023 at Fair Hope Hospice-The Pickering House in Lancaster, Ohio. Born November 29, 1956 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Joseph and Rosemary Altier Winnenberg. James loved hid children and grandchildren, critters, motorcycles, woodworking, music, junk food, The New York Yankees and The Cleveland Browns. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Kimberly A. Beatty Winnenberg; children, Jennifer (Justin) Good, James "Jay" (Maria) Winnenberg, Joe (Katie Hook) Winnenberg, Jeff, Kyle, and Kelsey Livingston; grandchildren Dylan (Breanna Barker) Winnenberg, Hannah (Andrew) Daubenmire, Carter Winnenberg, Haley Winnenberg, Ellie Bentley, K. J. Livingston, Carson Hook, and Cade Winnenberg; great-grandchildren, Delilah Boggs and Iris Daubenmire; sisters, Judy Penzio and Marty Yinger and brother, Pat Winnenberg. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife of 30 years, Patty Heavener Winnenberg and infant son Nicholas Winnenberg. Kenneth Everett Brown, 83, passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, November 29, 2023. He was born on September 5, 1940 in Jacksonville, Ohio to James R and Melba (Grimm) Brown. He is survived by his wife, Barbara A. (Bushee) Brown, a brother, David (Mary) Brown of Roseville, OH, his son Mark (Heather) E. Brown of Centerburg, OH, 3 grandchildren Mary E. (Victor) Brown-Litteral, Ian E. Brown, and Alistair C. Brown, 3 great-grandchildren, Magnus, Theodore, and Nikolaus Litteral, and a nephew, Dwayne (Jennifer) Bushee. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Darlene (Mike) Hughes, and his brother Roger (Ingrid) Brown. Kenneth graduated from Lancaster High School in 1958, received his BA from the College of Arts and Sciences at Ohio University in 1967, and his M. Div. from Trinity Lutheran Seminary in 1971. Kenneth served as a pastor, first in the Evangelical United Brethren Church, then in the United Methodist Church for over 50 years. He served congregations throughout Fairfield County, as well as in Liberty Center, Newark, Kenton, Englewood, and Westerville. He preached his first sermon at 12 years old, then was appointed to his first congregation at 18, and ordained an Elder at Trinity Church in 1972. Kenneth retired in 2002, being subsequently called out of retirement to serve smaller congregations. Kenneth received the Harry Denman Award for Evangelism, the 33rd Degree and the Royal Order of Scotland of the Scottish Rite, and was a member of the American Rose Society and Lodge #57 Lancaster F&AM. Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm on Monday, December 4, 2023 and the funeral will be held at noon on Tuesday, December 5 at the Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home at 436 North Broad Street Lancaster, OH 43130.
