George Thomas Walsh, 79, of Wylie, TX, died in his home on September 29, 2023 after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Syracuse, NY on September 12, 1944 to James and Genevieve Walsh. George proudly served in the United States Army from September 1961 - September 1964. He loved God, his family, the flag, putting puzzles together, and fishing, especially in Port Aransas. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Patricia, and brother, Paul. He is survived by his brother, Phil, and his wife of 40 years, Kathryn Walsh, and her daughters and sons-in-law, Kim Baca, Kristina & Lonnie Vaughan, and Karen & Rick Walker; his grandchildren and their spouses, Rebekah & Rob Lopez, Amber & Bo Barnett, Taylor & Josh Gilbert, Adam Young, Cody & Melanie Moorman, Sarah Kemper, Chris & Bridget Walker, and Charlie Walker; eight great-grandchildren, and twin great-grand baby girls on the way! A Visitation is scheduled for 1:00pm Thursday at the Allen Funeral Home, 508 Masters Ave, Wylie, TX 75098 with a Funeral at 2:00pm with the burial to follow at the Wylie Cemetery.
