"Bobby Louis Moten was born on April 26, 1937, in Chester County, TN to the late Jack Moten and Betty Davis. He attended Chester County Training School, graduation in 1956. After graduation, he enlisted in the US Navy and served his country from 1956 until 1960. Bobby was united in Holy Matrimony to Dorsey Ross on June 25, 1962, and to the union three children were born. He worked at Quality Metal Stamping for. Over 40 years. Bobby co-owned Like Bu Janitorial with Ronnie Moten until his health failed. Bobby was a faithful member of the Mount Zion CME Church, where he played the guitar for the Church choir, attending until his health no longer allowed him to attend. Bobby was an exceptional guitarist and played with the Jacksonians as the "Lead Guitarist. " The Jacksonians signed "Way Out Records" of Cleveland, Ohio, an MGM Production. They were the Road band for Mr. Eddie Floyd and backed up Mr. Rufus Thomas, Al Green, Ms. Freda Payne and others while with the Jacksonians. He was inducted into the Rockabilly Hall of Fame as a member of the Jacksonians Band. Bobby also played with the "Simply Soul" Band and the band Soul Unlimited. He served on the City of Henderson Zoning Committee for several years, committee member for the Chester County Chapter of JONAH and the Chester County Election Commission. Bobby was an original member of the Henderson, TN Chapter of The Dragons Motorcycle Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Moten and Betty Davis; his sisters-in-law Brenda K. (Joe) Buckley, Minnie Faye (John) Williams, Debra (Charles) Chatman, and brother-in-law Timothy (Anna) Pearson. He leaves to cherish and adore his memories, Daughters, Felisa Miller and Carrie (Larry) Bobbitt; Son, Randall (Melinda) Moten; grandchildren, Christopher Miller, Lawrence Bobbitt, Steven Bobbitt, Trasheena (James) Moore, Austin Moten and Dexter Jones; five great-grandchildren; Goddaughters, Michelle (Dan) Estrada and Chlara "Pebbles" Elie; Cousin/Brother/ Best Friend, Ronald "Ronnie" Moten, his sisters-in-law Brenda K. (Joe) Buckley, Minnie Faye (John) Williams, Debra (Charles) Chatman, and brother-in-law Timothy (Anna) Pearson and a host of other relatives and friends. "
