Bobby Lee Lewis, age 84, of Rison went to be with his Lord on Saturday, October 7, 2023 He was born December 11, 1938 in Rowell, Arkansas to the late James and Ruby Lewis In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son James Lee Lewis Mr Lewis was a United States Marine Corps Veteran and a retired electrician He was a faithful member of Bethel #1 Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed working outdoors, gardening, fishing and making things He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Mary Frances Billings, his sons Mark Lewis and his wife Wendy, Steve Carr and his wife Nan, one brother, James Dickie Lewis and his wife Betty, grandchildren, Madelyn Lewis, TJ Lewis, Ty Vaughn and his wife Gina, Stephanie Carr Ryther, Jessica Carr Lyon and her husband Franklin and three great-grandchildren Visitation will be from 1:00 p m until 3:00 p m Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at Buie Funeral Home in Rison with graveside services following in Greenwood Cemetery Arrangements by Buie Funeral Home of Rison (870) 325-6216

Paul LeRoy Stephenson, age 60, of Rison passed away on November 22, 2023 from a battle with Mesothelioma. He was born in Orange County, California to Robert Stephenson and Arnette Kleiner Guyer. He moved to Rison in 1997, where he became a local handyman, home remodeler and a general contractor for many years. Paul loved camping, boating, hunting, hanging out on the farms, but most of all he loved being with friends and family. He was preceded in death by his father Robert Stephenson. He is survived by his wife Dena Stephenson of 26 years, his mother Arnette Guyer (Terry) of Rison, his sister Susan Segiel of Nampa, Idaho, his brother Kenneth Stephenson and his wife Jody of McAlister, OK, his sons Robert Stephenson and his wife Jennifer of Springdale, Ryan Stephenson and his wife Leslie of Rison, his daughter Lauren Rosnau and her husband Paden of Garden Grove, CA, his son Rick Stephenson and his wife Mary of Sheridan, grandchildren, Faith, Jason, Caroline, Caitlyn, Tessa, Ryder, and Luke and numerous nieces, nephews and numerous other family and friends. The family would like to thank Arkansas Hospice, Skyler Wooldridge, and the family and friends who were there by his side. Funeral services will be 2:00 p. m. Evelyn Marie Rushing, age 77, of Rison went to be with her Lord on November 15, 2023. She was born November 3, 1946 in Arkadelphia to the late Thomas and Dorothy Hudman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Vernon Hudman, James Hudman, and Roy Earl Hudman. She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and playing games. Her favorite thing was spending time with her family and great-grandson. She is survived by her husband of 49 1/2 years David Wayne Rushing, children, Angela Hooker and Kellie Kittler, siblings, Sherry Belasco, Brenda Rushing (Jimmy), Theresa House (Billy), Vanessa Horton (Daryl Fox), and Danny Hudman (Theresa), grandchildren, Krista Wooten and Jessie Wooten (Bailee) and one great-grandson Zayden Wooten. She was also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends who loved her dearly. Funeral services will be 11:00 a. m. Mary Frances "Bucky" Wells, age 94, of Rison went to be with her Lord on October 17, 2023. She was born October 24, 2023 in Cleveland County to the late Herman and Clarice Holderfield Hyatt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Luther Wells, her brothers, Elbert Hyatt, Herman Hyatt, Jr. , Havis Hyatt and Bobby Hyatt. Mrs. Wells was a retired nurse and a faithful member of Bethel #1 Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her children Ronnie Brown (Cindy) of Hot Springs; Patsy Cope (Donald) of Rison; step-children, Sandra Kubik (Bob) of Springfield, MO; Alice Jenkins (Morris) of Hot Springs; Pam Miller (Phil) of Heber Springs; one sister Charlene Bond of Rison; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Emma Taylor

Age - 93

Emma Lois Holmes Taylor, 93, of Rison, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on September 26, 2023. She was born December 6, 1929, in Carden Bottoms, Arkansas, to Jim and Essie Williams Holmes. Emma was a member of Bethal #1 Baptist Church in Rison and served two terms as Worthy Matron for the Eastern Stars in Midland Pennsylvania. She loved her Lord, family, friends with her biggest enjoyment being her great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed coloring, art, sewing and reading. She retired in 2004, as a Licensed Practical Nurse, after 22 years of working at various nursing homes. She spent her life caring for others. Emma spent the last ten years of her life at McKinney Cottage at Green House Cottages of Southern Hills where she became a huge part of their family and a vital part of their loving culture. She was preceded in death by her husband, of 54 years, Phillip Morgan Taylor, whom she married on June 28, 1948, in Jefferson County; brothers, Doyle, James and Dwayne Holmes. Survivors include her sons, Phillip Larry Taylor (Melissia), Joseph Frank Taylor (Anna), Robert Taylor (Luanne), Richard Taylor (Julie); ten grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Paula Lynch (Rick), Sharon Lavergne (Vaughn); several nieces and nephews,Visitation will be Sunday, October 1, 2023, at Fuller Hale South from 2 to 4 p. m. Ronnie Coleman, age 58, of Rison went to be with his Lord on September 22, 2023. He was born October 28, 1964 in Pine Bluff to Buddy and Virgie Coleman. He was preceded in death by his father Buddy Coleman, his brother Randy Coleman, his niece Mendi Coleman, paternal grandparents Joe and Linnie Coleman and maternal grandparents Lee and Pearl Skinner. He attended Watson Chapel Schools and worked for the Cleveland County Road Department for many years. He enjoyed being at deer camp, hanging out at the shop, and being with his family was his most treasured memory. He is survived by his loving wife Sandra Brown Coleman, his children Little Ronnie Coleman, Jr. , Brady (Keith) Coleman, Dustin Coleman, Harmoni Kenward, Hadley Hogan, Chase Brown, Josh Vick and Brittany Kenward, his siblings, Pat Coleman, Jr. , Patty Coleman, Melissa Coleman, and Ricky Coleman (Pam), in-laws, Amber (Wayne) Blankenship and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Bobby Ray Hyatt, age 82, of Rison went to be with his Lord on September 19, 2023. He was born January 26, 1941 in Cleveland County to the late Herman C. Hyatt, Sr. and Clarice Holderfield. He was a United States Air Force veteran, following his service in the Air Force he joined the Army National Guard. He retired after many years as a teacher and a coach. He was also a faithful member of Bethel #2 Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Elbert Hyatt, Herman Hyatt, Jr. , and Havis Hyatt. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Carolyn Nell Hyatt, his daughter Barbie Kay McAfee and her husband Scott, and his son Bobby Ray Hyatt, Jr. and his wife Karen, two sisters, Mary Frances Wells and Opal Charlene Bond, grandchildren, Scott Edward Hyatt McAfee II (Lauren Nalezny), William Harmon Hyatt McAfee, Ashlyn Reagan Hyatt, Brooklyn Auburn Hyatt and Caitlyn Eden Hyatt and numerous nieces and nephews.
