Bobby Baker Jr Obituary

Bobby Lee Baker Jr. , age 65, of Gaston, SC, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 17, 2023. Bobby had been fighting leukemia for several months. Bobby grew up in a military family. He was born in Chester, SC to Bobby and Bertha Baker of Phoenix City, Alabama. Bobby graduated from Baker High School in Columbus, GA. After high school, he enlisted in the US Navy and served for 15 years. He loved playing his online video games and was always up to date on current events. He was always a joy to be around and loved his family including his fur babies. He loved classic rock and NPR. He is survived by his beloved wife, Christie Baker; sons, Michael Ravenal-Baker(Amy) of Durham, NC, Cameron Wells of Carnegie, PA; daughters, Catherine Baker of Monks Corner, SC, Zoey Baker of Gaston, SC. He is also survived by his sister, Ruby White(Roger); brother, JD Baker and almost sister/cousin Lynda Baker Craig; three grandchildren, Genevieve(Liam), Annabelle, Mason; and many nieces and nephews. Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, Bobby and Bertha Baker. His memorial service will be held 2 pm on April 28, 2023, at Fort Jackson National Cemetery.
