"Christy Lynn Hutchings, daughter of Deloris McQueen and the late Otis Hutchings, was born on December 3, 1974 and departed this life on November 29, 2023. At the time of her passing, Christy was forty-eight years, eleven months and twenty-six days of age. Christy was preceded in passing by her father, Otis Hutchings. Christy is survived by her daughter, Kodie (Logan) Hutchings; mother, Deloris (Steven) McQueen; five siblings, Stacy Hodes, Steven Hutchings, Isaac McQueen, Steven McQueen and Justin McQueen; grandson, Bentley; nieces/nephews, Kaylea, Marea, Marya, Chace, Michael, Drake, and Sierra; great nieces, McKinley, Milani, Ryver, Felix and Princeton. In her passing, Christy also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, friends and other family members who will truly miss her. To say that Christy loved her family would be an understatement. You could always find her looking up recipes that she could make with her great-nieces and nephews whey they came to visit. When she wasn't doing that, she was out buying a gift for someone because when she saw it, she thought of them and knew they would like it or they just had to have it. Christy enjoyed watching sprint car racing, cooking, singing and laughing, she was always spontaneous and up for almost anything you threw at her. She enjoyed having others tag along on her adventures so they too could make memories. Even though Christy may be gone from our sight, her love for family will live on forever. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri. Sharron (Bolivar)

Age - 78

November 15, 2023

"Sharron Kay Garretson, 78, passed away on November 12, 2023, at CoxHealth Medical Center South from some health complications. Kay was born in Bolivar, Missouri in her childhood home on May 30, 1945, to Lonnie and Lucille (Covert) Scurlock. She often surprised people when they found out she had only moved once in her lifetime - from her childhood home on South Clark to her family home on South Lillian in Bolivar. She attended Bolivar High School and graduated in 1963. She met Lyle (Buster) Garretson in 1960 and married September 3, 1966. They were married 44 years when Buster passed away in 2010. Kay was a homemaker until her and Buster took over Garretson Trash Service in 1970. She continued to take care of the home and children while helping with the business. She took over as owner of the business in 2010 after Buster's passing and liked to joke that she was the "Real Boss" with all the employees. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Bolivar, Missouri. She loved her congregation and all pastoral staff through the years. Kay loved the Bolivar community and owning a business here. Kay was known for her big personality! She loved to shop for everything "bling" and shoes. She loved the Kansas City Chiefs and enjoyed attending the games with Buster and her friends for many years. She didn't know a stranger and would start a conversation with anyone. She loved to travel and take group trips. She also enjoyed socializing with her friends and looked forward to dominoes at Silo Ridge each month. She had a spunky and sassy personality (and no filter) that could not be ignored. Her smile and laughter were truly a gift to everyone. Kay is preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie and Lucille Scurlock. Her husband, Buster. And her sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Loren Laird. She is survived by her children: Trudi and Jeff Carlson, Greg and Amy Garretson, and Staci Wendland. She loved her grandchildren: Josh, Chris, Zachary, Brandon, Tiffany, Britnie, Caleb, Hunter, Lacy, Kiley, Kyle, Tanner and Dayne. She also enjoyed her 12 great grandchildren. Her family was her passion and she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren that lived close and always up for a trip to go see those that didn't. She loved to be able to text and call the kids. She also had a beloved dog, Dapple and cat, Mikey that she fussed over constantly. She enjoyed the company of many close friends and other extended family. She will be missed by so many! A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, November 17, 2023, at Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar. Funeral services for Sharron Kay will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Bolivar. Services are under the care and direction of Butler Funeral Home of Bolivar. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Sharron Kay Garretson please visit our Sympathy Store. "Show more

Adam Craddock

Age - 43

November 14, 2023

Mr. Adam Tyler Craddock, age 43, of Lake of the Ozarks, MO passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at his home. Adam was born on September 29, 1980, in St. Louis, MO son of John A. Craddock and Tyann D. (Schomaker) Craddock. He grew up in St. Louis, MO. and was a 1998 graduate of Lafayette High School. In 2005, Adam started Dock Boys Restaurant Group with his brother, Austin. He moved to Lake of the Ozarks to open their first Bandanas Bar-B-Q and he continued to manage that location. From the success at the Lake, he and Austin continued to grow and opened up two more locations in Jefferson City and Sedalia. Adam took great pride in these three restaurants, where his employees and loyal customers became an extended family during his 18 years of ownership. Adam had a passion for cars, guns, and collecting watches. He enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, watching movies, and listening to music. He shared a deep and enduring love with his longtime girlfriend, Casey Alexander, and their two dogs, Scraps and Cooper. Adam's happiest moments were by the water, preferably on a dock with a fishing pole in hand, surrounded by his family. But above all, his deepest joy came from spending time with his best friend, his Dad, whom he idolized and loved wholeheartedly. Adam had a big heart but a bad heart. At the age of 6, Adam had heart surgery and was facing another heart surgery in 2024. Survivors include: his parents, John and Tyann Craddock of St. Louis, MO; brother, Austin (Carmen) Craddock of St. Louis, MO, and their son, Carson; sister, Amanda (Daniel) Langreder of St. Louis, MO, and their children, Charlotte and Cash; maternal grandmother, Geraldine Schomaker; and longtime girlfriend, Casey Alexander of Lake of the Ozarks, MO. A gathering to Celebrate Adam's Life will be held from 12:00 p. m. until 3:00 p. m. next Saturday, November 18, 2023, at The Event Venue at the Encore, 3076 Bagnell Dam Blvd, Lake Ozark, MO 65049. There will be a formal time of sharing at 1:00 p. m. for family and friends to share a story during the gathering.
