Jeffrey Allen Bowker, aged 65, a resident of North Richland Hills, Texas, peacefully passed away on November 30, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 1, 1958, in Valparaiso, Florida, Jeff was the eldest of three children born to Dolores and Donald Bowker. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at LeTourneau University and dedicated several years to an engaging career in Information Technology. Jeff's work fulfilled his passion for technology and allowed him to indulge in his love for travel and languages, fostering deep connections with people who became cherished friends. In December 1989, Jeff welcomed his first daughter, followed by the arrival of his second daughter in October 1991. Devoted to being the best father possible, he instilled in his children the values of love, kindness, and appreciation for those around us and the world. Jeff shared his enthusiasm for technology, music, and games with his family, leaving an indelible mark on those around him. Jeff was an avid motorcycle enthusiast who enjoyed riding alongside church members and navigating long, winding roads. He cherished every moment with his grandchildren, never forsaking a chance to spend time with them even remotely, using a plethora of video games, namely The Legend of Zelda, Minecraft, and Pokemon. Jeff is survived by his mother, Dolores Bowker nee Johnson; sister, Andrea Jack nee Bowker; daughters - DeAundra Bowker and Miranda Herman nee Bowker; and grandchildren - Karina Herman and Aiden Herman. His brother, Eric Lynn Bowker, and father, Donald Allen Bowker, preceded him in death. Services and viewing in remembrance of Jeff will be held on December 8, 2023, at Gladewater Memorial Park. A brief viewing will commence at 12:30 pm, followed by a graveside service. Friends and family are invited to join in celebrating the life of Jeffrey Bowker, a man whose legacy will forever endure in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.Show more

FORT WORTH, TEXAS- Bettie Cassell Lennox, 80, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2023 in North Richland Hills. Service: 12:00 p. m. Tuesday, December 11, 2023 at Mount Olivet Chapel with Robert Dodson, officiating. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p. m. Monday, December 11, 2023 in Mount Olivet Chapel. Pallbearers: Graham Beverley, Andrew Letbetter, Paul Lennox, Michael Lennox, Max Winegar and John Aaron. Honorary: Terry Harmon. Bettie was born in Paris, Texas, December 17, 1942 to Carmel Russell and Velma Snow Russell. She graduated from Birdville High School in Haltom City, Texas in 1961. She married Lester Cassell in January 1961 in Fort Worth Texas and they had four children together. Lester preceded her in death in 1997. Bettie then remarried JR Lennox in May 2002, to whom she was married at the time of her death. She worked as a traffic coordinator for Radio Shack for more than 20 years. She was a parishioner at Asbury United Methodist Church in Haltom City, Texas for more than 50 years. Bettie was also a volunteer, for many years, at the church thrift store and loved to sing in the choir. Bettie is preceded in death by her first husband, Lester Cassell, and parents, Carmel and Velma Russell. Bettie is survived by her spouse, JR Lennox, daughter, Laura Beverley and husband, Graham of North Richland Hills; son, Mark Cassell and fiance, Jana of Fort Worth; daughter, Lisa Letbetter and fiance, Terry Harmon of Rhome; son Lester Cassell III and wife, Lisa of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Ethan, AJ and Andrew. Bettie is also survived by her family by marriage; stepson, Paul Lennox and wife, Charlotte and stepson, Tony Lennox; also numerous step grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Bobbie Madge Speer, 97, passed away peacefully on November 25,2023 with her family and Stone Creek Retirement staff at her side. "Miss Bobbie" was born on December 12,1925 to Hubert and Lallie Woodard in Mesquite Texas and became an integral part of what is now called The Greatest Generation. She graduated from Mesquite High School, married her high school sweetheart Weldon Speer who received the Purple Heart with the First Armored Replacement Battalion in Europe during World War II. Bobbie walked in faith with the Word of God as the foundation of her faith encouraging her children, extended family and anyone else who would listen to do also. She sacrificially gave of her time and financial resources to her local church and outreach missions. Miss Bobbie retired at the young age of 85 after 27 years with Southland Life Insurance as Supervisor in General Accounting and 25 years with Mesquite Police Department, Records Division where she was awarded the Civilian of the Year in 1997. The last two weeks of her life, Bobbie would frequently say to the Stone Creek Staff she wanted to go home. They thought she was referencing her house in Mesquite she lived in for 60+ years. The staff found a poem at her bedside after her passing with an underlined passage that stated: Do not grieve for me, for now I'm free. I am following the path God laid for me. I took His Hand when I heard him call I turned my back and left it all. Miss Bobbie is survived by her daughter and son in law, Patricia and Jeff Stricklin, son and daughter in law, Michael and Glenda Speer, four grandchildren, Lou Stricklin (Kim), Melissa Hall (Brian), Janena Young (Scott), Jon Speer (Anna) and eight great grandchildren, Aidan Stricklin, Cale Stricklin, Brek Stricklin, Allie Hall, Deacon Hall, Jon Young, James Young and Eleanor Speer. Randall Jon Baker was born on Tuesday, February 25th 1947 in Sheldon, Iowa. After high school graduation, he attended the University of Iowa for a semester before enlisting in the U. S. Army. He served for three years. In 1969, he moved to Seattle, Washington to join his parents, Jonathan and June Baker, who had settled there. He was attending the University of Washington when he met and soon married the love of his life, Maria Trikiriotis of Samos, Greece, on October 27, 1972. Randall earned a Bachelor of Arts in business administration, a Bachelor of Science in mathematics and physics, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Washington. Upon graduation, he was employed by GTE (Verizon) where he worked in finance for 26 years. In 1984, Randall's work would take him, Maria and their five children to Texas, where most of the family still resides. In his younger years, Randall enjoyed camping and fishing. Shortly after he and Maria were married, they took a two-week road trip from Seattle to Alaska where they enjoyed mother nature and even panned for gold. Their marriage would become the most precious element of all, spanning some 51 years with five children and four grandchildren. After retirement, Randall enjoyed golfing, trips to Seattle to visit family and spending Sundays with his wife, children and grandchildren. Our rock, devoted husband, father and grandfather passed away on Tuesday, October 31st 2023 at the age of 76. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Maria; his children Letitia, Jonathan, Ariana, Michelle and Joseph; his grandchildren, Ella, Hazel, Ivy and Olivia; and his siblings Richard, Barbara and Jonathan and their families.
