Blanca Lidia Leon age 92 0f Suwanee, Georgia passed away Monday September 11, 2023. She was a native of Havana, Cuba and was preceded in death by her husband Homer Leon, parents Julio & Amelia Hernandez Mendez and by her siblings Julio, Josephina and Teresa. She was a Christian and was of the Methodist faith, A loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother she was a seamstress for over 50 years. She is survived by her son Homero Leon of Covington, Georgia, daughter & son in law Amelia Leon & Robert Haberling of Suwanee, Georgia, grandchildren Bruce Dean Zamora & Mayumi Zamora, Arsidez Leon, Alejandro Leon, great grandchildren Sophia Zamora, Hiram Zamora. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday September 16, 2023 from the chapel of Byrd and Flanigan Funeral Home with Pastor Jean Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday September 16, 2023 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the funeral home. Conner L Davis, 74 of Suwanee GA died October 18 from a long battle with liver cancer. He was born in Atlanta, GA in 1949 to Janet L Davis and Lester Davis. He was a member of Johns Creek Baptist Church of John’s Creek GA. He was preceded in death by his mother, Janet Conner Davis and father, Lester Davis. He is survived by his wife of 42 years Connie Myers Davis. He is also survived by two sons, daughter-in-law, and grandson: Stephen Davis, Michael Davis (Erin) and grandson Austin Davis of Suwanee, GA. He was a graduate of North Fulton High School and obtained a bachelor’s degree from Mercer University as a Psychology major. He spent a few years as a College Recruiter for Bruneau University and Mercer University. He continued his career in the pharmaceutical industry and retired as a Sales Manager for Glaxo Smith Kline. Conner had a great sense of humor that he inherited from his mother. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He will be missed by all who know him. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 24, at 12:00 noon at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel at with Pastor Michael McCullar. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a. m. until the time of the service. Willie Riley Ridgeway, 83, of Suwanee, GA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 15, 2023, after an extended illness. The fourth of ten children, Willie was born on February 5, 1940, to Eldred Allen Riley, Sr. and Mattie Edelia Park Riley in Hodges, SC. She graduated from Ware Shoals High School in Ware Shoals, SC and Draughon's Business College in Greenville, SC. Prior to becoming a full-time mother, she was a banking professional and returned to that career after raising her children. Willie is survived by her three children: Kathy Ward and her husband Doug of Cumming, GA, Anita Filippi and her husband Joseph of Raleigh NC, and Scott Ridgeway and his wife Roxann of Suwanee, GA; five grandchildren: Erin, Hope, Autumn, Zachary and Sage; beloved niece Ann Gargus and her husband John; two sisters: Helen Rhoden of Hampton, SC and Susan Dodson of Greenville, SC; and three brothers: Robert Hugh Riley of Hodges, SC, G. B. Riley of Hodges, SC, and Russell Riley of Ware Shoals, SC. She is predeceased by her parents and siblings: Georgia Mackey, Walter B. Riley, Eldred A. Riley, Jr. and Sam P. Riley. Willie had community within her faith at Duluth First United Methodist Church where she was an active member and particularly enjoyed the Senior Fellowship Program and the Forum Sunday School class. Willie was a hardworking mother and devoted grandmother who showed her love through her constant presence and busy hands. She was a talented cook and leaves behind volumes of recipes that will warm our hearts and spark memories of her for the rest of our lives. She was also a gifted seamstress who put her love into every late-night and tedious hour to make beautiful creations of all kinds, with a special talent for formals and wedding dresses. Community service was Willie's passion throughout her life. There was rarely a time when she did not have volunteering on her weekly schedule. In her early years, she volunteered with the PTA, schools, church, and Meals on Wheels. Later, she was a Board Member of the Decatur Cooperative Ministry Women's Shelter and volunteered as an office worker at Riverside Elementary where her granddaughters attended. Most recently she gave her time to Wellspring Living. In her quiet way, Willie leaves with each of us lessons in the value of hard work, being present, perseverance, discipline, and faith. Services will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023 in the Peachtree Corners Chapel of Crowell Brothers Funeral Homes & Crematory. at Crowell Brothers Funeral Home. The family will gather with friends prior starting at 2:00 p. m. Burial will be held following the services at Peachtree Memorial Park. Mark Robert Gradolph, 66, passed away peacefully on October 13th, 2023 in the company of his loving son at his home in Suwanee, Georgia. He was born June 29th, 1957, in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Robert Herman Gradolph and Beatrice Mary Busse. Mark graduated from Fayette County High School, Class of 1975. Mark was a man of many trades, working as an insurance salesman and then a tractor-trailer salesman for General Trailer for a number of years prior to finding his true calling in nursing. Mark was married to the love of his life, Kathy Gibbs Gradolph for 23 years prior to her passing in 2003. With the support of his loving wife, Mark returned to school to receive an Associate's Degree in Nursing. He went on to ultimately receive his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Clayton State University in 2007. He had a long and accomplished career as a registered nurse, working at multiple hospitals including Grady Memorial Hospital, Piedmont Fayette Hospital, Cancer Treatment Centers of America, and Piedmont Atlanta Hospital. He practiced in many areas, including the emergency department and interventional radiology, prior to his retirement in 2019. Outside of his profession, Mark enjoyed a good cigar, riding motorcycles, listening to Braves baseball, a decent round of golf, and spending time with family and friends. Mark always found truth in logic and enjoyed a constructive argument. He was intelligent and had a wealth of knowledge, as was evidenced by his success at weekly team trivia with family. Mark is predeceased by his parents and his loving wife, Kathy. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Zachary and Elizabeth Gradolph of Johns Creek, Georgia and his daughter, Lindsey Gradolph of Tokyo, Japan. Mark's legacy continues through his granddaughter Hannah Claire Gradolph. Mark is also survived by his brother Bruce Gradolph (Karri) of Surprise, AZ, and his sister Maryetta Glockson (Bobby) of Statham, GA. Other surviving family includes his stepmother Gwen Gradolph, step siblings Kevin Bridges (Heidi), Linda Groce (Dan), Joel Bridges (Jenny), all of Fayetteville, GA, and many nieces and nephews. Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday, October 21st, 2023 at 1:00 pm in the Peachtree Corners Chapel of Crowell Brothers Funeral Homes & Crematory. Anthony Donald Lanois Sr. (Don), age 87, of Suwanee, GA, peacefully passed away Saturday, September 30th, 2023, with his son by his side. Funeral services for Don will be held on Saturday, October 14th, 2023, at 11:00 a. m. in the Peachtree Corners Chapel of Crowell Brothers Funeral Homes & Crematory with Chaplain Matthew Roberts officiating. The family will gather with friends for the viewing from 9:00 a. m. until 11:00 a. m. prior to the service at the funeral home. The family will welcome friends to a reception after the service at Oaks at Suwanee Creek, 3681 Burnette Road, Suwanee, GA 30024. Don was born March 24, 1936, in North Adams, Massachusetts, to the late Harvey Lanois and the late Lauretta Trembley Lanois; also, preceding Don in death was his loving wife of 63 years, Mary Ann Lanois, his beloved son, Richard Allen Lanois, his grandson, Nicholas Lanois, his brothers, Raymond Lanois, and Thomas Lanois, and his sisters, Frances Lanois, Theresa Larabee, Jeannie Stanley, and Ethel Malony. Don previously worked multiple jobs to care for his family and ultimately retired from a BMW dealer as a service advisor, where he worked over 20 years. Post retirement, he volunteered an extensive amount of time with the Kiwanis Club, the Salvation Army, Cobb County Meals on Wheels, and the Cobb County Senior Citizen centers. He loved his family with all his heart. He was the foundation and creator of his family's Easter and Christmas traditions. He loved to cook and bake and share his food and laughter with others. His most precious moments were time spent with his family. Don is survived by his son, Anthony "Tony" Donald Lanois Jr. (Nancy), daughter, Cynthia Marie Lanois (Norman); sisters, Marie Olson (Jerry), and Cecelia Schiesser; nine grandchildren, Doug Lanois, Christopher Lanois (Kendall), Trina Brown (Richard), Cristina Young (Jeremy), Daniel Lanois, Richard Lanois, Jr. (Kayley), Sarah Ward (Cody), and Jessical White. Don had 26 great-grandchildren that he was so proud of, Faith, Nolan, Nick, Skyler, Jordyn, Ashlyn, Olivia, Claire, Jayleigh, Savannah, Avery, Otis, Jordan, Elijah, Scott, Shea, Ellie, Jemma, Noel, Victoria, Brantley, Shaylee, Landon, Richard, Billy, and Maddox.
