Bina Simmons Obituary

Mrs. Bina Triplett Claybrook Simmons, age 91, of Deep Gap, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2023 at Watauga Medical Center. Mrs. Simmons was a member at Mount Ephraim Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Mark and Theresa Claybrook of Deep Gap; sisters-in-law, Cheryl Triplett of Pinehurst, Idaho and Oradell Triplett of Kellogg, Idaho; along with several nieces and nephews. Also her special friend, Mary Miller. She was preceded in death by her parents, Spencer and Roxie Cox Triplett; first husband, Robert Elber Claybrook, second husband, Stewart Simmons; five brothers, Verlon, Harvey, Steve, Roma and Carlos Triplett; and one sister, Zella King. Funeral services for Mrs. Simmons will be conducted Thursday morning, September 14, 2023 at 11 o'clock at Austin & Barnes Funeral Chapel, officiated by Rev. Burl Jones and Rev. Dwayne Jones. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 o'clock, prior to services, at Austin & Barnes. Graveside services will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the Christian View Christian Church, 543 Anglin Mill Road, Stoneville, NC 27048. The family respectfully requests no food.
