Billy Joe Schmidt, 33, of Bloomfield, passed away Friday September 8, 2023 in a motorcycle accident. He was born March 30, 1990 and worked for Louisville Paving. His passion was bull riding, he was a professional, and competed at Oklahoma City and placed 6th place in the nation. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hunting. He had a huge heart. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Beverly Chandler. He is survived by his three children, Aylah Brey Schmidt, Eli Gus Schmidt, and Ellie Jo Schmidt; mother, Vickie Chandler (Tony) Wilson of Bloomfield; father, William A. (Marlene) Schmidt of Lebanon; and maternal grandfather, Gene Chandler. His funeral service will be 11 am Wednesday September 13, 2023 at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in Vine Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 pm to 8 pm Tuesday September 12 and 9 am to 11 am Wednesday September 13 at Barlow Funeral Home.

Charles Thomas "Tommy" Raisor, 80, of Bardstown, passed away Friday November 17, 2023 at his residence. He was born September 21, 1943 in Louisville, retired from American Fuji Seal, United States Army National Guard Veteran and served with Battery C 2nd Battalion 138th Field Artillery Unit in Vietnam. He was a charter member of Parkway Baptist Church, where he was a Deacon and taught first grade Sunday school for many years. He donated blood as often as he could, volunteered with the American Red Cross and Habitat for Humanity and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was preceded in death by his son, Ashley Thomas Raisor; parents, Charles and Agnes Raisor; and sister, Vicki Raisor. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mozena Raisor of Bardstown; daughter, Amanda (Chad) Masterson of Chaplin; four grandchildren, Garrett (Madelyn) Masterson, Jacob Masterson, Katelyn Masterson, and Grace Thomas "Rose Bud" Masterson; sister, Brenda (Joe) Followay of Bardstown; brother, Danny (Janet) Raisor of Bardstown; and several nieces and nephews. His funeral service will be 12:00 pm Tuesday November 21, 2023 at Barlow Funeral Home, with burial in Bardstown Cemetery. Edgar Harrell will officiate. Freddie Wayne Bell, Sr. , of Bardstown, passed away on Friday, November 3, 2023, at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown. He was 67 years of age. Born at home in Jamestown, on January 25, 1956, he was a son of the late Osco Riley and Edna Pearl Craig Bell. Freddie was a mechanic, who loved working on cars. He enjoyed trading and talking on his CB Radio with his friends. Freddie is survived by his wife, Laura Browning Bell, of Bardstown; seven sons, Freddie Wayne Bell, Jr. , of Russell Springs, Oliver Riley Bell, of Georgetown, Christopher Shawn Bell, of Silver Springs, Florida, Brandon Bell, of Bardstown, Tony Bell, of Bardstown, James Bell, of Bardstown, and Jacob Bell, of Bardstown; and one daughter, Amy Dawn Bell, of Irvington. Freddie is also survived by seven grandchildren, Ty Beckley, Kristopher Beckley, Jayden Bell, Kaleigh Bell, Cheyenne Bowers, Justin Cook, and Kellie Curtis; one brother, Eugene Bell, of Jamestown, and two sisters, Linda Graves, of Louisville, and Carol Chrisman, of Taylorsville. In addition to his parents, Freddie was preceded in death by one brother, Hansel "Tooter" Bell; and three sisters, Reba Franklin, Rena Grider, and Betty Perkins. Per Freddie's wishes, cremation rites were honored by Bernard Funeral Home. Private inurnment will take place at Jamestown City Cemetery. She was born March 6, 1932 in Greenbrier, a farmer, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother an known as Mamaw to her loving grandchildren. She loved her dog, Dora Mae, and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Figg Sr. ; daughter, Dorcas Figg; son, Joe Figg Jr. ; parents, Earl and Martha Lyvers; three brothers, Tony Lyvers, Ronnie Lyvers, and Wayne Lyvers; and sister, Patricia Ann Waites. She is survived by her seven children, Deanie Hahn, Cathy Garner, Larry (Jackie) Figg, Eunice Downs, Gregg Figg, John (Lisa) Figg, and Carey (Margo) Figg; daughter-in-law, Mary Figg; fifteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; five sisters, Wilhelmenia Taylor, Pauline Mattingly, Rebecca Jane Essex, Margaret Mary Mattingly, and Trudy Boss; four brothers, Pat Lyvers, Wallace Lyvers, Phillip Lyvers, and Kenneth Lyvers; and several nieces and nephews.
