Billie Jo Lightfoot, 91, of Burleson, Texas passed from this life Friday, September 8th, 2023. She was born June 27, 1932, in Deritter, Louisiana to Joe and Viola London. The London family moved to Comanche, Texas in 1939, where Billie grew up with her siblings, LT English, and Mary and Theta London. She graduated from Comanche High School in 1949. After high school, Billie went on to work for the Comanche County Clerk's Office and soon after graduation, met her future husband Charles Lightfoot of De Leon, Texas. The two were married May 5, 1951 and spent 58 wonderful years together before Charles was called home to Heaven. Billie and Charles moved to Fort Worth, Texas in 1951 and had 2 sons, Joe Paul and Jay Alan. Billie worked for the Texas Department of Public Safety as the Highway Patrol Secretary from 1966 - 1986. Billie retired from working and she and Charles moved to Granbury, Texas where they both enjoyed retirement. Billie enjoyed many hobbies including sewing, quilting, and playing cards with her friends. She enjoyed family gatherings, loving on her dogs, and spoiling her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She was a hard worker, devoted Christian, and loving mother and grandmother. She will be missed beyond measure by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her son Paul Lightfoot and wife Sherry of Burleson, Texas; Grandchildren, Jodie Bruce and husband Charles of Fort Worth, Texas, Sara Bunker and husband Austin of Decatur, Texas, and Hanna Winder and husband Joseph of Azle, Texas; 7 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren; Sister Mary Locke and husband Arden of Brownwood, Texas. The Lightfoot family will receive friends for visitation Wednesday, September 13, 2023, from 10-11:00 a. m. with services beginning at 11:00 a. m. at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home with Pastor Sara Bunker and Pastor Austin Bunker officiating.

BURLESON - Carol Sue Shadix, 79, passed away Friday, Dec. 1, 2023. Funeral: 2:30 p. m. Thursday, Dec. 7, 2023, in Greenwood Chapel. Visitation: 1:30 p. m. Thursday, prior to the service. Carol was born May 23, 1944, in Nickerson, Kansas to the late Laverne Marie Godfrey and Robert A. Godfrey. She was a loving, generous, spunky, hilarious, adventurous, creative and intelligent woman. Throughout her life, Carol held various positions, but her favorite was being a school secretary. She found joy in her career and was happily retired, cherishing the time spent with family. Her most important role was being a mother and Grammy. She loved her family fiercely. Carol had a passion for illustrating bibles and scrapbooking, which allowed her to express her creativity and create lasting memories. Survivors: Brother, Warren Carson Godfrey and wife, Freda; daughter, Cheryl Lynne Webb and husband, William; sons, Howard Anthony Shadix and Robert E. Shadix, Jr. , and wife, Kippie. She was also a beloved grandmother to Meagan Fisher, Tessa Shadix, Emily Shadix, Stetson Shadix, Jacob Webb and Lane Webb. Additionally, Carol leaves behind four great-grandchildren, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Carol was preceded in death by her parents; and her sisters, Judy Sharon Stevens and Katherine Bernice Estes. Carol Sue Shadix will be deeply missed by her family and all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her loving nature, spunky personality and adventurous spirit will be remembered fondly by all. "Ronald Mark Williams Ronald Mark Williams, Husband, Dad, and Pawpaw, entered fully into the presence of the Lord on November 28, 2023 at the age of 67. He was born on August 29, 1956 in Canyon, Texas to Virgil Lynn and Nora Dell Williams Ronnie led a life filled with hard work, dedication to family, love for music, sports and the outdoors. He was known for his unwavering love for his grandchildren and family, attention to detail, sarcastic and witty sense of humor, and mentoring and influencing the lives of his children and grandchildren. Ronnie is survived by his wife of 43 years, Lori Williams, children Michael Williams and wife Kelli, Matt Williams and wife Tiffany, Kristin Parson and husband Jeremy, grandchildren Ryan, Colton, Olivia, Hadley, Jake, Haley, and Kelsey, and step-mother Jeri Williams along with siblings Steve Williams, Alese Pantalion and their families. Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Lynn and Nora Dell Williams. Ronnie graduated from West Texas State University in 1987 with a degree in Business. He went on to have a successful 46 year long career at McDonalds where he started flipping burgers and eventually retired from Corporate McDonalds. Ronnie had a passion for fishing, barbequing, watching the Cowboys win, and cheering for his grandchildren as they played sports. Ronnie was an active member of Cross Creek Church and the Grapevine High School Baseball Booster Club. Roy Allen Mosbey, a devoted family man and outdoors enthusiast, peacefully passed away at the age of 73 in his Burleson, Texas home on November 24, 2023. Born in Fisk, Missouri to Clifford Mosbey and Viola Evelyn Weathers on May 31, 1950, Roy's legacy is one of love, wisdom, and a passion for life. Roy found joy in the great outdoors, where his love for hunting and fishing flourished. His greatest treasures were moments spent with family and friends, creating cherished memories that will endure for generations. A man of words and wisdom, Roy shared his insights through his "Life According to Mosbey" blog and book, leaving a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to read his thoughts. For 26 years, Roy was the proud owner of Ram Country Taxidermy, where his dedication to his craft and love for wildlife left an indelible mark. His expertise and artistry transformed countless hunting memories into timeless displays of nature's beauty. Roy is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Theresa Mosbey, and leaves behind a legacy through his children: Brandi Parker (James), Angela Neal (Micheal), Shane Mosbey (Brandi), and Randy Von Heuring (Gina). His grandchildren - Hunter Borja, Brittany Neal, Hailey Borja, Hayden Borja, Kristina Neal, Elizabeth Neal, Myles Mosbey, Kolby Mosbey, Shawn Von Heuring, Amber Von Heuring, and Tristin Von Heuring - were the lights of his life. BURLESON - On Sunday, Nov. 26, 2023, Jack Lee Earwood passed from his earthly home to his heavenly home at the age of 79. Mr. Earwood was born July 7, 1944, in Fort Worth, Texas. He graduated as Salutatorian with the Class of 1962 from Technical High School. Mr. Earwood received a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. At the time of his death, he was a retired resident in Burleson and member of Cana Baptist Church where there is a ministry to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Throughout his diversified career working with the Deaf and DeafBlind, Jack served as a Public Servant in Rehabilitation and Social Services, Teacher and Trainer in Interpreting and Sign Language, and Christian Minister in Deaf Ministries. As a devoted family man, he lovingly lived the roles of Son, Brother, Uncle, Husband, Father, and Grandfather. He was a faithful believer in Jesus Christ as his Savior and Lord. Jack Earwood was preceded in death by his father and mother, Floyd Wilson and Nellie Mae Earwood of Fort Worth, Texas; and sister-in-law, Patricia Claire Earwood of Burleson, Texas. Bernice Mary Kremsner, a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2023 in Burleson, Texas. She was known for her loving and caring personality, which touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Bernice was born on September 19, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois. Throughout her life, Bernice found joy in many hobbies and interests. She had a green thumb and spent countless hours tending her garden. Bernice also possessed a creative side and enjoyed pursuing various crafts. Undoubtedly, Bernice's proudest accomplishments were her family. She dedicated herself wholeheartedly to creating a warm and loving home for her loved ones. Her legacy lives on through the cherished memories shared by those she leaves behind. She is preceded in death by her son, Joey Kremsner; parents, Fred and Dorothy Seguin. Bernice is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Kenneth Kremsner, with whom she shared many years of love and companionship. Together, they built a life filled with laughter and support. Their bond was unbreakable, serving as an inspiration to all those around them. She will also be dearly missed by her daughter, Karen Smith; grandchildren, Jessica McDonald (Jay McDonald), Chase Smith; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Isabella, Aiden, and Aubrey; sister, Janet Seguin; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who had the privilege of calling her family.
