Billie Hicks Obituary

"Billie J. Hicks, age 89, of Greeneville, died Saturday, at her loving daughter's home, surrounded by her family. She was born November 4, 1933, in Greeneville, TN, a daughter of the late Bennie Earl \u0026amp; Flavia Belle Tweed Morelock. She was preceded in death by three sisters: Shirley Clay, Peggy Russell, Nancy Street and four brothers: Jimmy, George, Bennie Jr, and Johnnie "J. W. " Morelock. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Rev. John L. Hicks. She is survived by two sons: Michael and Masako Hicks, Eric Hicks and Amber; two daughters: Vickie and Bobby Raines; Sandra and Ricky Sharpe; 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. She was member of the Greeneville First Church of God. Graveside services will be 2 p. m. Monday, May 1st, at Andrew Johnson National Cemetery. The Rev. Ralph Shipley will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2 - 4 p. m. on Sunday, April 30th, at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Micheal Hicks, Yoshikazu Oshiro, Stephanie Van Dine, Brendon Sharpe, Sheldon Sharpe, Nathaniel Love, Austin McBurnett, John Paul McBurnett, and Cobe Love. Honorary pallbearers will be Deanna McBurnett and Amber Love. "
