Billie Chalk Obituary

Billie Lee Chalk, 91, of Youngsville passed away on May 7, 2023. Billie was born in Granville county. He was life time member of Oak Grove Baptist Church where he attended regularly until his health hindered him. He served as a Deacon for many years. He served with the US Army in the Korean War. Billie Lee was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Roberts Chalk; mother and father, Luther and Katie Wagstaff Chalk; brothers Roger Chalk and Bobby Chalk; sister, Maidie May; and nephew, Randy May. He is survived by nieces Vickie Williams (Bobby) of Dunn, and Judy Byrd (William) of Wake Forest, and nephews Darrell Chalk of Franklinton and Terry May (HaiSun) of Arlington, VA, and brother-in-law Philip Roberts of Louisburg, and sister-in-law, Shelby Jean Hill of North Wilkesboro, NC. Billie Lee loved his church and his family. Bright Funeral Home is caring for the Chalk family. A grave side service will be held Saturday May 13th at Oak Grove Baptist Church at 2:00 p. m. with visitation to follow at the church fellowship hall. To to the family, please
