Beverly Rae (Brauch) Jurgens, 91 years of age, formerly of Beatrice passed away on September 7, 2023, in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She was born on March 15, 1932, in Oketo, Kansas to Irvin and Henrietta (Novotny) Brauch. On December 23, 1950, Beverly was united in marriage to Franklin Otto Jurgens in Marysville, Kansas. To this union three children were born: Dennis, Sara and Janice. Beverly graduated from Diller High School in 1949 and later graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She was a teacher and taught in country schools, Diller Elementary and Wymore Southern. She later worked at the Beatrice State Developmental Center in the Speech and Language Department. After retiring, Beverly taught at Southeast Community College in the Rural Career Development program and later helped in the Adult Basic Education program. Beverly was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Beatrice, the Gage County Historical Society, and a lifetime member of the University of Nebraska Alumni Association. She enjoyed embroidery, cross-stitch and quilting. She liked reading and working Sudoku. Beverly loved playing cards and board games with family and friends. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Franklin, sisters: Shirley Nickeson and husband William of Beatrice, NE; Dona Brungardt of Auburn, NE; Sondra DeWitt and husband Jerry of Beatrice, NE; brothers: Neil Brauch and wife Beverly of Odell, NE; and Gale Brauch of Hebron, NE. She is survived by her children: Dennis Jurgens and wife Anita of Milford, CT; Sara Fisher and George Bouckenooghe of Half Moon Bay, CA; and Jan Dohmen and husband Ken of Treynor, IA; grandsons: Caleb Dohmen and wife Sarah and daughter Aspen of Council Bluffs, IA and Kade Dohmen of Council Bluffs, IA; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Beverly will be laid to rest at the Evergreen Home Cemetery in Beatrice. No service will be held. Harman-Wright Mortuary, Beatrice is in charge of the arrangements. Sharon, born on June 16, 1938, to Joy Clare Polly and Lillie Mae Sierks Polly, spent her early years on a farm in rural Rodney, Iowa, where she was the eldest of six siblings. Following her graduation from Smithland High School in 1956, she relocated to Onawa, Iowa, where she initially worked as a bank teller before marrying Ray Prichard and embarking on a new chapter of her life. In the ensuing years, Sharon embraced the role of mother, raising five children-Pam, Nancy, Steve, Chris, and Dan. After divorcing and a few years in furniture sales, she embarked on a fulfilling career in 1986 as an insurance agent for Farm Bureau Financial Services, until her retirement in 2004. Beyond her professional achievements, Sharon was known for her innate talent for decorating a beautiful home, entertaining and her exceptional hosting skills. An adept bridge player, she added joy and camaraderie to many gatherings. Her warm and welcoming nature extended beyond her immediate circle, earning her a cherished place as a dear friend to many. However, Sharon's true joy was found in the company of family and friends. Her love for them was evident in the countless moments she shared with all her loved ones. From their early years as friends to becoming her sister (in-law) Bev Metcalf was always there for her along with cherished friend Donna Wittland of 60+ years was by her side for many of those events and was always her rock. Whether hosting gatherings, playing bridge, or simply spending quality time together, Sharon's presence enriched the lives of those around her. In addition to her children Pam Jensen (Craig), Nancy Crist (Kevin), Steven Prichard (Beth), Chris Prichard (Kim), and Daniel Prichard (Lori), she was the grandmother to Meggan Jensen, Tera Jensen Sanders (Justin), Megan Prichard Brabec (Brian), Aimee Prichard Pryor (Tom), Blake Jensen (Jasmin), Courtney Prichard Lovely (Jim), Kena Crist Meyer (Matthew), Janelle Prichard Dubay (Tyler), Moryssa Prichard, Cole Jensen, Emily Prichard Johnson (Taylor), Ky Crist, Garrett Prichard, Cheyanne Prichard, Brianna Prichard, Lukas Prichard, Cydney Prichard: 21 great- grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorial visitation will be at the Hoy-Kilnoksi Funeral Home on Sunday December 17, 2023, from 2:00 p. m. to 4:00 p. m. with special remarks at 3:00 p. m. Daisy Mae Goodwin was born on May 31, 1935 to Beulah and Bill Stanley in Washita county Oklahoma. She was raised in western Oklahoma where she attended high school in Burns Flat. She graduated in 1953 and married her high school sweetheart Clifford Goodwin that same year. Daisy and Clifford raised five children: Dennis, Donna, Deborah, DeeAnna, and Doris. Clifford's career took the family to Imperial California where Daisy worked as an instructional aid in the Imperial school district and El Centro high school. They both retired in 1987 and shortly after relocated back to Weatherford Oklahoma. They remained happily married for 67 years until Clifford's passing in 2020. Throughout their lives, Daisy and Clifford enjoyed traveling with their family on long summer camping trips in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The family also spent most summers camping, hiking and swimming in the Laguna Mountains of Southern California, along with many side trips to the beaches of San Diego. Daisy was an avid seamstress. She was known for making clothing for teachers and locals in her community. She made over 75 quilts and gifted many to friends and family. Daisy passed away peacefully on November 22, 2023 in the home of her daughter DeeAnna in Carter Lake Iowa. She is survived by her daughters Donna, Deborah, DeeAnna, and Doris; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
