Beverly A. Dunstan, age 86, passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, IN. Beverly was born on January 17, 1937 in Haviland, OH to the late Verl and Amy (Mosier) Patterson. On April 23, 1955 she married John Dunstan Jr. who preceded her in death on March 31, 2015. Beverly spent her life creating a loving home for her family. She was a member of the Paulding United Methodist Church where she fixed many funeral lunches. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and helping people in any way that she could. Beverly is survived by her children: Jeffrey (Elizabeth) Dunstan, Antwerp OH; Jo Ellen (Mark) Schmidt, Altamonte Springs, FL; Jacquelyn (Tim) Mann, Fort Wayne, IN; sisters: Patty (Coe) Gordon, Paulding, OH; Donna Lane, Paulding, OH; Carol (Bill) Parrett, Antwerp, OH; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Beverly is also preceded in death by her son, John Dunstan III in 1968; infant sister, Connie Patterson. Funeral service will be held 11:00 A. M. on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at Den Herder Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Arnold officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Creek Cemetery, Blue Creek Township. David L. Williamson, age 70, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at his residence. David was born on November 16, 1953 in Paulding County, OH to the late Kenneth and Elizabeth (Treece) Williamson. On May 1, 1998, he married Raye Mays, who survives. For 27 years, David worked for GM Powertrain in Defiance before his retirement in 1999. After retirement, David worked for Coopers Hatchery. He was a devoted member of Grace Bible Church in Van Wert, OH and a member of the Antwerp Conservation Club. Quinten E. "Quincy" Hart, age 29, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Paulding County Hospital, Paulding, OH. Quincy was born on May 27,1994 in Paulding, OH to Daryl and Floanne (Mott) Hart. He worked at FWT/Sabre Industries for several years. Then at Archbold Container, Archbold, OH. Most recently he enjoyed working with his Dad at "Hart's Home Improvements" and also for Wilhelm Home Improvement. Quincy was one of Jehovah's Witnesses associated with the Auglaize River Congregation in Defiance, OH. Quincy loved gaming, camping, board games, playing cards, and spending time with his friends and family. Quincy is survived by his parents, Daryl and Floanne Hart, Paulding, OH; brother, Riley (Kara) Hart, Paulding, OH; maternal grandmother, Sandy Mott, Paulding, OH; uncle, Nick B. Laura L. Pease, age 88, passed away on Friday, November 10, 2023 at Vancrest of Payne. Laura was born on January 8, 1935 in Paulding County, OH to the late Raymond and Hazel (Copsey) Phlipot. On August 30, 1954 she married Paul Pease who preceded her in death on September 2, 1988. Laura worked as an office manager for Chief Supermarket in Paulding for 27 years before her retirement in 1999. She was a devoted member of Divine Mercy Catholic Parish, Paulding. Laura was also a member of the Paulding VFW Post 587 Ladies Auxiliary, Paulding Eagles 2405 Ladies Auxiliary, and the Red Hat Society in Paulding. Laura loved her time at the Paulding County Senior Center, where some of her favorite pastimes were playing Bunco, Bingo, and Dominos. Laura is survived by her children: Rick (Jackie) Pease, Paulding, OH: Randy (Amy) Pease, Defiance, OH; Nancy (Loren) Hancock, Paulding, OH; Susan (Jim) Sitton, Paulding, OH; daughter-in-law, Ann Pease, Paulding, OH; 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren. Rachel Sandys, formerly of Paulding, stepped into the loving arms of Jesus on Wednesday, July 19, at Cherry Blossom Assisted Living in Columbus, Ohio. She was 95. She was born Rachel Bell on July 26, 1927 to Ira Emory Bell and Ethel (Austin) Bell in Sandusky, Ohio. She was the youngest of 12 children from her parents' previous families, and their own. She graduated from Latty High School in 1945 and took a job with Magnavox in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. In 1948, she married Paul David Troyer, of Paulding. Together, they farmed and raised three children: Alice (David) Jewell of Kingsport, TN; Eva Martinez, Columbus, Ohio; and Mark Troyer, formerly of Lagrange, GA. Rachel was unexpectedly widowed in 1965. She began working at S. K. Wayne in Defiance, Ohio, where she met Jack Sandys, also of Defiance. They married on April 29, 1967. She became a stepmother to his children Michael and Gary Sandys, and Patti (David) Westrick. In addition, Rachel and Jack had two children together: Lori (Joseph) Lapierre, Blacklick, Ohio; and Crystal (Terry) Chilman, Montesano, Washington. During her life, Rachel attended both Rose Hill Church of God and Auglaize Chapel Church of God. She learned to play the piano in her 40's, and loved to sing the hymns. She was an excellent cook, an avid reader, and enjoyed baking, gardening, sewing, walking, puzzles, the Grand Ole Opry - and beating Jack at Scrabble. She was widowed again in 2012, after nearly 45 years of marriage. She resided at the Gardens of Paulding from November 2020 until March 2022, when she was hospitalized with pneumonia. She then moved to Columbus to be near her daughter. She is proceeded in death by her parents; two husbands; by her sisters Goldie (Bell) Coleman; Mae (Bell) Aregood; Stella (Bell) Hale; her brothers David Miller; Clarence Miller; Charles William Bell; Lloyd Bell; Ralph Bell; Emory Bell; Ira Bell; and Richard Bell - as well as all of their spouses; her stepdaughter, Patti; her son-in-law, Dave; and her son, Mark. She is survived by her remaining children and stepchildren; 11 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She will be laid to rest in Live Oak Cemetery, Paulding, Ohio, on Saturday, October 14. A short graveside service will be held at 1:00 p. m. ; friends are welcome to attend.Show more

Miriam L. Baer was born in Decatur Indiana on September 4th, 1936. She died on August 28th, 2023, at the age of 86. She and the late Donald E Baer were married January 25th, 1957. Miriam had two daughters. The late Teresa Goodenough and was survived by her second daughter Lisa Mawer. She has six grandchildren: Dustin Goodenough, Mitchell Goodenough, Currey Mawer, James Mawer, Nathan Mawer, and Miriam Corin (Mawer) Egelhoff. She also has 8 beautiful great grandchildren. Her parents were Vilas Bollinger and Lucille (Adams) Bollinger. She had 5 siblings: the late Richard Bollinger, the late Esther Mcmahan, the late Robert Bollinger, and was survived by Martha Bruns, Sharon Kimmell. Miriam lived for summers and hot weather. Though she never liked the snow, she weathered every winter. An avid gardener, she had beautiful flower and vegetable gardens every year. She always kept a beautiful front sitting room ready for visiting friends and family. Her grandchildren could be seen running in and out of her beautifully kept ranch house in Briceton Ohio during the dry Ohio summers and frigid Ohio winters. Her grandchildren eagerly awaited her homemade apple bars on sunny summer days, and her famous rum Christmas cookies on frosty winter nights. Miriam faithfully served as a teacher's aide at Parc Lane school in Paulding Ohio for 25 years. She and her family worshiped and served the Lord at Calvary Bible Church in Paulding Ohio. Psalm 33: 20-22, "Our soul waits for the Lord; he is our help and our shield. For our heart is glad in him, because we trust in his holy name. Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us, even as we hope in you. " Miriam spent her last year at Ross Memorial in Kennesaw Georgia being loved on by her family. She lived in the north all her life but became a true southerner by drinking sweet tea with every meal. Proving that a piece of her heart always belonged in Dixie. Her family continues to love and cherish the memories they shared with her. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 P. M. on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding.
