Beverly AlfredFeb. 14, 1929 - May 2, 2023MADISON - Beverly Alfred, age 94, of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at Heritage Monona. She was born on Feb. 14, 1929, in Madison, the daughter of Elmer and Agnes (Nelson) Hansen. Beverly was united in marriage to Virgil Alfred in 1949. In their younger years, Beverly and Virgil loved roller skating and dancing together. Beverly was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church. She enjoyed working in hospitality as a waitress and later as a cook at Glendale School. She loved spending time with at the family cabin in Rio, and being with her card club friends with Royal Neighbors, playing cards, especially euchre. Beverly is survived by her son, Brian Alfred; grandson, Andrew Alfred; and granddaughter, Allison (Troy) Nockerts. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Virgil; sisters, Evelyn Lawrence and Elaine Brewer; and brother, Vernon Hansen.
